Tube Fitting, Union

  • Three piece construction - nut, sleeve and body with attached insert Use with copper, brass, aluminum, or plastic tubing.
  • Manufactured for low and medium pressure tubing connection work where excessive vibration or tube movement is not involved.
  • Typical application: Use with copper, aluminum and plastic tubing.Not recommended for steel tubing and using gas eous media.
  • Working pressure up to 2000psi with a 4:1safety factor depending on TUBE size.Temperature range of -65°F to 250°F (-53°C to 121°C).
  • Material : CA360 / CA377
  • Note : Not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A.

Compression Union

The sleeve type pipe joint is composed of three parts: joint body, sleeve, nut. When the ferrule and the nut are inserted into the joint body on the steel pipe, when the nut is tightened, the outer side of the front end of the ferrule is fit with the conical surface of the joint body, and the inner edge bites into the seamless steel pipe evenly.

The nylon hose for my engine oil gauge was damaged and caused a leak. The 1/8 compression fitting worked well. Cut off the damaged part of the hose and reconnected the hose using the compression fitting. So far holding up very well. Price seems a little high but so far, happy with the results.
