I have a smaller tea strainer which works great for a mug of tea but wanted something so I could brew a whole pot at once and this one is perfect for that. I have used it several times and the tea comes out great. Very pleased with this strainer. Wish I'd ordered it sooner. You do need a wide mouth for your pot though.

I use it for making a 1 gallon batch of tea in a metal water bottle because I was unable to find a metal pitcher. It fits. The infusers with buckles are more sturdy but they don't fit. This does what I need it to do.

The infuser seems like it is stainless steel but very low grade of steel. It does work but only if you don't use the chain when putting in a deep pot. If you do, the boiling of the water can really pull your infuser in different directions until the lid pops out and everything inside the infuser is spread all over. So try not to hook it to anything and you should be ok. Sometimes the spices can get jammed or stuck under the lining on the lid of the infuser so I have to use a toothpick to pull them out. If this item was lined better under the lid it would save on cleaning time. Most infusers seem to have this problem so most of these infusers are made from the same manufacturer.

I am the first to write a review. This item had a much lower price than the other, more popular listing, and I was uncertain what I would actually receive. I am reasonably certain they are made on the same assembly lines. Other product reviews mentioned fragile materials. This had me concerned, but this item is as durable as one might expect and should hold up just fine with normal use. Also, it came undamaged in a well-protected box.In all fairness, I have not actually used it except to trial test flow, lid placement, and fit for my particular vessel use. Everything was as I had hoped for, and I was here to order a second one.I am so impressed I felt it was only right that I should let others know that this product's fit, form, and function is top shelf. The price makes it an even nicer delight!If you are uncertain because of the lack of reviews, don't be.And thx seller for the unmentioned but nice little surprise gift! I will find it very useful.Edit to add: I have now used it and it worked wonderfully! Cleaned up easy as well. Towel dried and it looks brand new.

Good size to fit my pho spices when I make it for my small 4 person family.Easy to open and close once I fill it up. The hook makes it stay in one spot so I don’t have to search for it later.
