My granddaughter has just started to sew and she loves crafts. I bought it and noted that it comes with all the basics things that should be in a sewing kit. I bought a few additional things that I added before I wrapped it and sent it to her. I bought some beautiful ribbons and small pieces of fabric that she will find a way to use with her crafts. First of all, I'm very happy with my purchase! My original sewing kit got left behind in a move and i was too broke to replace each individual item separately, so this was perfect. Here's the rundown:What I love:1. Absolutely recommend for a starter kit2. The extra space of the larger one makes a huge difference, and it's not too bulky. So get the bigger one!3. The basket is even prettier in person and super sturdy.4. The scissors, seam ripper and measuring tape are nice qualityWhat needs to be replaced:1. While the thread given is cotton, fairly generous and a nice range of color, it's not the best quality and a little frustrating to use. Still workable, just frustrating.2. The chalk pencil does nothing3. The needles have the tiniest eyes I've ever seen4. Both the needles and pins are flimsy and bend and break fairly easily, though also still workable5. The tomato pincushion is so strange and nearly impenetrable, while the yellow one is so thin that it's impossible to not have the pins poking out the other side. Ouch!Summary:I've used only what came with this kit to complete many small projects, so it's absolutely all you need to get going. It makes for a perfect starter kit that you can build on as you go. While some things are lacking, the sum of its parts i think makes it a very good deal!

I needed a new sewing kit. I had pieces of sewing accessories scattered throughout the house here and there. I wanted a kit that came with accessories without costing $40-$50.This is the perfect kit for novice and experienced seamstress like me. The print reminds me of one that my mother had years ago. Also, all of the accessories are quality made. I am very pleased with my kit. I put my tablet in the box to give you a sense of the kit's size. I am delighted with my sewing box and look forward to years of use.

I thought it was perfect. This is the perfect size to hold all my things that I have gotten for sewing needs. With extra room since my collection of sewing tools is pretty small. I do not sew a lot, just mostly hemming pants and dresses. I have only just started sewing recently before I'd just use a needle and thread. I got the blue roses one and it is absolutely super adorable! I typically dont like the basket weave look so I'm going to glue ribbons around it.

A very nice sewing box. The supplies that came with it are very handy. The pin tomato isn’t the best, but it’s great for casual use.The box itself is nice quality and very spacious. I ordered the large size. This box holds all my supplies, embroidery gear except for my larger rings which is fine.For being as big as it is, I’m pleased it isn’t gigantic. The print reminds me of my grandmothers ebrodery box. Very happy with this!
