These planters are lovely, but I learned the hard way that they require a lot of watering! I'm guess this is because they are small and you cannot put a lot of soil into them, so they dry out rather quickly. I did not use them as hanging planters so I can't speak to that issue, but they are a unique and decorative addition to my patio.

These are adorable. I just used metal zip ties and didn’t need to drill anything.

At first glance, this is a no-frills window planter box option in that it doesn't come with any extras like mounting hardware but it does include the necessary coco coir fiber basket so it can function as an actual planter. The construction of the box is good quality, with the matte black powder coating applied over a welded frame construction. Most of the frame is open, relying on the corner brackets to give it enough rigidity to hold the combined weight of the coco basket/soil/plant/water combination that will come with use. The bottom grid is made of rods welded together while the side and front decorative grids are stamp-cut thin metal with a little flex to it but hold their shape well for the beautiful geometric floral pattern to do its job. Mounting the planter is very straightforward, it just needs a couple of sturdy screws or bolts to hang on. It is meant to sit flush against a wall as the back framing has larger gaps and the coco basket may bulge slightly depending on how you fill it. The density of the coco basket is good and supports adding soil and plants and conforms more evenly to the frame vs. when it's empty. It drains well without worry of soil erosion over the long term and it only takes a couple of minutes to get it all situated and serves as a home for some lovely flowers. The bonus of the screw slot attachment is that it's easy to remove for maintenance or storage when not in use, making it a lot easier to work with it off the wall and then reattach it when needed.

These planters beautiful! I can't wait until it stops going from winter to summer every five minutes so that I can put them out on the porch railing and fill them with flowers this year!Everything arrived quickly and appears to be easy to assemble. I haven't gotten to fully install them yet (weather!), but have read through installation instructions, and it looks straightforward. This is going to be a beautiful statement piece addition to my porch rail and I'm already excited for it.I will update this review once I've had them up for an entire summer so that I know for sure how they hold up to Midwestern seasons, but I'm optimistic that they'll last quite a while.

This is a very attractive flower box. There is a black metal open diamond design which is unusual and appealing. I didn't think I'd need a bracket because my patio railings are very wide and I was confident I could just set the window box on the rail. At worst, I'd secure the box with long cable ties. What I didn't realize is that the back of the box lacks the same decorative element since there are 2 flat metallic strips with large holes for brackets. It's not terribly attractive at all. I blame myself since one of the pictures on the product page does show the back but I guess I missed it. Those who walk by my patio will see the attractive side but for those who are sitting on the patio, it's not as nice a look. I will be looking for plants that droop a little with hopes of hiding the back. Being an apartment dweller, I'm concerned about anything that could cause damage.
