The reed is a little bit brighter than I expected but it does not have a bad sound. Overall the sound is very nice and it projects a lot. Had 0 resistance. The only thing is it’s a little bit to adjust to a super high upper range, High E and up take more effort to comfortably play, but that’s not a huge deal. Over all pretty good product.

I still prefer the use of cane, but these reads are amazing for practicing especially more Advanced Techniques like slap tonguing. Make sure you know what size read you need, I recommend going down at least a half size to get used to the synthetic material.

I got sick of dealing with wooden reeds not being consistent (even after adjusting them using a Reed Geek - which certainly helped them), so I thought I would try this synthetic reed. After trying this synthetic reed I don’t think I will ever go back to wood reeds. This reed is consistently good! You don’t have to worry about wetting it just the right amount, and you can let your sax sit there for hours (if you want) and not worry about the reed drying out. Just pick up your sax and play - what is better than that? I also like the sound of this reed. I highly recommend this reed!

I have used Legere reeds for several years, but when I switched to the Signature Series, I found them much firmer than the standard ones. Once I selected a lower strength, I found the reed quite responsive with the lovely, smooth tone I prefer. I don't like the feel of cane. And Legere reeds last for years. I use them with a 1924 vintage Buescher soprano sax. Old and new technology have never mated better.

This reed dramatically improved my playing! I was reluctant to leave behind wooden reeds and had heard a lot of pros and cons regarding synthetic reeds. From the first moment I played the Legere reed I was hooked. As a earlier alto/tenor band kid now starting on the soprano there were squeaks I wasn’t used to. The legere solves that and helped me get closer to the sound I hear in my head. Plus it’s sooo nice not worrying about slight imperfections or small breaks that dramatically change sound in wooden reeds. The legere was perfect out of the box and still playing wonderfully a month later. My only regret is not buying three of these at once. I never want to be without one. Regarding the company, it shipped and arrived when it said it would. And the packaging was very nicely secured. I play this reed with a Rovner ligature and Aibuy 6 mouthpiece.

I really like these reeds but was disappointed to see on receipt that the "Open Here" tab had been opened, and for this price point, that's really not good - the reed should be factory sealed.

I play this reed on my Cannonball Vintage Reborn soprano saxophone and my Cannonball Arc 99 Saxello. My mouthpiece is a Cannonball No. 7 and occasionally a Vandoren V5 S35. I have tried a number of different mouthpiece and reed combinations, some very expensive. I found the Cannonball No.7 mouthpiece and the Legere No. 2 reed produces a very rich and warm tone throughout the scale and range of the horn. Meanwhile, blowing the horn using this combination was effortless. Unbeliever sound and easy to play. Hands down, Cannonball make an excellent soprano mouthpiece and the Legere No. 2 is the best all around reed for jazz on the Cannonball soprano saxophone.
