This is very versatile for sewing leather goods and making primitive jewelry. For lighter leather a length can be split into thinner thread, for heavier a full piece can be used for sewing. Leather needles and an awl and scrap board for making holes against works well for me.

The Kulay Artificial Deer Sinew is a waxed flat polyester thread designed to mimic the strength and texture of traditional natural sinew. With 5-ply construction, it offers high durability, flexibility, and resistance to fraying, making it ideal for beading, leather stitching, sewing, and other craft projects. How well does it perform compared to traditional sinew? Let’s break it down.Pros and ConsPros✅ Strong & Durable for Heavy-Duty Use • Made from 5-ply polyester, providing excellent tensile strength for leatherworking, beading, and craft applications. • Does not break easily, even when pulled tightly.✅ Waxed for Easy Handling & Knot Security • The natural wax coating helps prevent unraveling and fraying. • Provides better grip, making knots hold securely without slipping.✅ Mimics Real Sinew Without the Downsides • Unlike natural sinew, it is synthetic and cruelty-free, making it a vegan-friendly option. • More consistent in texture—does not have the inconsistencies or weak spots that natural sinew can have.✅ Versatile for Multiple Crafts • Suitable for beading, leather stitching, tie-dye crafts, hand sewing, and general DIY projects. • Works well for traditional and modern craft techniques.✅ Long Length & Cost-Effective • With 300 yards (900 feet) per roll, it offers excellent value for long-term use. • More affordable than real sinew while maintaining comparable durability.Cons❌ Slightly Stiff Compared to Natural Sinew • While firm, it does not have the same stretchability as real sinew, which may affect flexibility in specific projects.❌ Wax Coating Can Transfer to Hands • The waxed texture may feel slightly sticky, and wax residue may transfer to fingers in warmer conditions.❌ Not Ideal for Ultra-Fine Beading • The flat structure can be too thick for delicate beading projects requiring ultra-thin thread.❌ Requires Scissors for Clean Cutting • Unlike natural sinew, which can be pulled apart by hand, this must be cut with scissors due to its strong synthetic fibers.Recommendations✅ Best Uses • Leathercraft & Stitching: Strong enough for hand-sewing leather goods like wallets, bags, and moccasins. • Beading & Jewelry Making: Works well for bracelets, necklaces, and other handmade jewelry projects. • Tie-Dye & Fabric Crafts: These can bind tightly to fabric for dyeing techniques. • DIY & Outdoor Use: Great for crafting, repairing gear, or survival applications.🚀 Ways to Improve the Product 1. Offer Different Thickness Options—A thinner version would be more suitable for fine beading and intricate work. 2. Reduce Wax Residue Transfer – Adjusting the wax formulation to prevent stickiness would improve handling. 3. Add More Color Variants – Additional colors would expand its use for different craft aesthetics. The Kulay Artificial Deer Sinew is an excellent, durable, and versatile synthetic alternative to natural sinew. Its strength, waxed finish, and long length make it an excellent choice for leatherworking, beading, and hand-stitching projects. While slightly stiffer than natural sinew, wax residue can be a minor inconvenience; it remains a cost-effective and high-quality craft thread.

I'm doing some crafts that copy how American Indians put thing together. I watched a Youtube and this product was being used and was highly recommended. Sure enough, I bought this roll and it works great for my jewelry projects. You can take a strand as it comes off the roll and use it or split it a few times to make it thinner. Sicks together and is strong.

Good quality, easy to use. You can separate the strands so it’s not so thick. Nice neutral color. Good price!

I admit I haven't been doing tie dying for very long at all so I'm not some seasoned vet or anything, but this is the third or fourth synthetic sinew I have purchased and it works better for me then any other one has!First of all it's much wider then the others I've used which makes for much more pronounced lines in the tie dye, and it's way stickier making it possible to use a lot less as it does not slip loose. And lastly it is much stronger then any others I've used. I'm able to pull it much tighter which makes for a way better looking tie dye pattern. I also like that it's brown as opposed to white like the others I've used so it's much clearer to see against white fabric

Bought this in you for tie dying and it is great stuff! It's very strong doesn't break, does exactly what you want it to and the price for the quality is worth it in my opinion for sure. No complaints, do recommend.

Not as sticky as other brands I've used for tie dye, but it seems to be strong enough and I've only managed to break it when pulling a tie once. It does bind and "lock" fairly well, although it has a habit of falling off the spool while I'm loading my sinew puller (again due to lack of sticky wax) so we've had a few tangles to navigate. Doesn't always give clean resist lines though; it does allow dye underneath in places even when I'm sure it's pulled really tight over several wraps. As I use several metres at a time, it's worth saying that if properly rinsed with warm water and a bit of washing up liquid (dish soap) those long lengths can be reused as generic ties instead of buying kite string to hold spirals, folds and scrunches in place. Hope that helps!

El hilo color natural tiene buena cantidad de cera y se puede dividir sin problemas comparado con otros pero el tono de la foto tiene un toque dorado y no corresponde al Real es muy diferente
