I bought this as a cheap alternative to buying an OEM Kenwood charger. As far as I can tell, it works just like the factory ones but for a third of the price.Don’t be afraid of giving this one a shot

I have a Kenwood TK-3180 with a lithium battery. I let my battery go completely dead and charged it with this unit, with the wall plug and it took it roughly 3 and a half hours to fully charge it, my stock charger charged it in about 3 hours but the power brick was about 4 times bigger than this one and it put out more amps. It is nice to not have the big brick laying around for the charger so it's worth the extra half hour to me.This charger works great even if it is a little slower than the stock one. I have not tested the car charger part as I don't foresee any situation where I would need it. It is nice to know that it is there if something I don't foresee happens though.
