The new York disc lock features 15mm hardened max performance steel shackle with a double deadbolt anti-rotation design that resists bolt cutters and twisting leverage attacks. This thing seems like it would withstand a stick of TNT, but it is really heavy. Not the kind of thing you're going to want to take with you riding your bicycle. I other cases where the weight is not such an issue, I feel very confident nobody's stealing my stuff with 10 seconds and a cheap bolt cutter.

Huge massive and heavy lock. Fantastic length, perfect for my large electric bike, I can secure it very easily to pretty much anything now. Highly recommended!

I have read so many recommendations and decided to go after something heavy for the garage. Honestly, I thought that it will be smaller! Also, 150cm is actually not that long.The logo was off from the very beginning but that’s not important I guess.So far I’m impressed, but be aware that it’s super heavy (and not the easiest to put on by mi wife)

I don't think I'll have an issue with theft it would take a lot of time to cut through this.This is massive and heavy. We'll worth the price. Lock is easy to insert key and has a protective cover. Well made construction, chain cloth cover makes chain easy to handle to prevent pinches from links.

I ended up buying kryptonite 1415 chainKryptonite Fahgettaboudit is well/most balanced (LEGENDS is overkill = if bought buy 1590 can if you can find it)I own/use 2 Fahgettaboudit ulocks —1415 chain e bike— then master lock streetcuffs 8200 & 8290 (NOBODY WILL STEAL MY BIKES) planning to buy abus bordo 6500____Due to long shipping times — I tried multiple times to cancel order even by phone — Amazon refused to cancel order. No shipping information was available (Amazon trying to keep sale = I tried to cancel) ___they delivered utilizing —pin requirements — I never received (they handed to ??? Person @ myself not at delivery address = I never forwarded pin to anyone = attempting to force return/refund) they still delivered to UNKNOWN person (I personally was over 10 miles away and they still delivered)Amazon's problems pin should only be provided via (1) Amazon login messages (2) Amazon email address (3) PIN SHOULD BE QR CODE not alpha/numeric (meaning only logged in devices can receive purchase orders) _____***NEVER*** by phone (anybody can hear voicemail for LANDLINES) or by text messages (most phones allowed you to read messages from lock screen = sender then, if short "PIN" would be visible without unlocking)_____Kryptonite 1515 is decent (I personally prefer ***discontinued 1590*** padlock design = 2x better)Overall 1410/1415 is the best overall balance (due to ulock= legend 1515 isn't worth the security risk especially when considering excessive weight) ***1415*** is both cheaper and lighter with same security limitations (ulock being the weakest point)

Use it to secure 2 fat tire E-bikes together on a rear hitch mounted E-bike carrier along with individual kryptonite foldable locked for each. Ime so I dont have worry that the bikes are secure enough to allow the e-bikes to be stored overnight on the car carrier because most hotels forbid e bikes to be stored inside a room. Only high secure lock that locked 2 bikes together a d to the carrier. Piece of mind when ur vacation plans center around using g the e-bikes.

I had been looking for this chain for quite some time and after much research and looking online I believe that it has been discontinued by the original manufacturer Kryptonite. After trying several bike shops in NYC those dealers told me that it was not available. So when I found it on Amazon I was very surprised and ordered one immediately. The chain arrived much quicker than the promised date. It was well packed and when I opened the cardboard packaging the fist thing that I noticed was that indeed it was brand new. This is a very hefty, very heavy and very well made chain with a beefy Kryptonite bike lock. Neither the chain or the lock has any scratches or dents. The one very strange thing I noticed was that rhe Kryptonite logo, which was clearly on the lock, started to smudge and disappear if my hand touched it! One of the other reviewers also mentioned this in his post. So I used my thumb to rub over the Kryptonite logo and it came off very easily with no effort. This does NOT mean that the chain or the lock are used. The entire item is BRAND NEW as far as I can tell. It There could be various reasons why the Kryptonite logo smears/smudges/disappears upon touching it but I have no specific or clear idea as to why. When I tried to smudge the Kryptonite label with my finger on my other two Kryptonite locks from the other chains this didn’t happen. I even tried scratching the other logos on the other two locks but they didn’t come off at all, not even a little bit. REAST ASSURED the Kryptonite New York Legend 1515 chain AND lock are brand new and in perfect working condition.

I purchased the 1515 specifically for securing a valuable bicycle to my SUV's cross bars. While normally locking a bike to my Yakima rack I overlooked that the bike rack is only attached to the vehicle's crossbars using simple-to-cut rubber straps!So much attention and marketing is given to lock thickness, resistance to grinding wheels, etc. but no one ever thinks about the ease of just cutting the butter-soft rubber straps! Theft of both the rack AND bike as a unit can easily occurs in seconds.To truly deter and prevent a bike theft the Kryptonite 1515 with its long, hardened steel chain securely attaches the bike to the vehicle crossbars, and a 2nd lock (ie; U-Lock best) attached from the bike to the Yakima has deterred all thieves. Not 100% foolproof but definitely a huge PITA when easier targets abound.

I gave this 5 stars because I'm rating the lock. I'd have put 3 stars if rating the order.5 stars - the lock is definitely big; not something I'd ride around with on my e-bike. I intend to use it when parking the bike for the night. I'll feel less anxious with this lock on my bike.3 stars - the lock is obviously a returned item. It arrived in pieces, there was gunk and scratches on the lock, and the label was for this chain AND a disc lock. This was either returned without the disc lock or the label was mixed with another product. The chain and lock itself are not impaired so I decided not to exchange, but it's always disappointing to receive a used item when paying for a new item.

Das Kryptonite-Schluss ist extrem massiv und sehr schwer. Also nichts zum Mitnehmen auf dem Fahrrad. Allerdings perfekt um es zu Hause so abzuschliessen, dass Diebe es nur mit grösster Mühe (und Lärm) stehlen können. Die Kette ist dabei so schwer, dass sie das Fahrrad zur Seite zieht- man muss sich ein bisschen überlegen wie man sie anbringt.Das Schloss funktioniert gut, man sollte aber gleich zu Beginn und auch später regelmässig etwas Öl in die beweglichen Teile geben. Ich habe alles im Trockenen und hoffe dass ich auch lange Freude daran haben werde. Für Dauereinsatz draussen bei Regen und Kälte ist es vermutlich nur bedingt geeignet.

È troppo pesante il che lo rende davvero fastidioso. Tanto si crede alla super resistenza ma... con i flessibili di oggi a batteria con un disco sottile abbiamo tagliato in 50 secondi un anello di questa catena. Fate le vostre conclusioni.
