Love the colors, but they are a bit more on the chalky side than the smooth.

The lead is a little hard. Iām used to a smoother pencil for blending.

Read the description carefully. These are not colored pencils for coloring. The packaging states dry highlighter. These are designed to be used as a pencil highlighter for office or accounting work. I still tried to color some butterflies with them, with gesso primed paper, and it's still a hard pass. I've used them so I can't return them. If used for what they are designed for, they'd probably be ok. If you want to use them to color, don't buy these.

I saw these recommended on several YouTube colorist channels and since I love to use neons to make a special pop of color on a page, I bought them. Prismacolor has nice neons but only in yellow, orange, and pink. This set has blue, red, green, pink, yellow and orange. They are nice shades, layer pretty well, and don't break when you sharpen them. I like them.

Was expecting more when I saw the koh-i-noor brand on these, I really love my progresso color pencils and mondeluz watercolor pencils from them. I'm not sure if Chartpak manufactures from a different place? I guess these are more geared towards just highlighting book pages and not for art/coloring. They are very crumbly, they don't layer with other colors at all and the waxy buildup is horrible, I find crayola pencils performed better although I didn't test their neon version. Was looking for neon pencils to add and extra pop to artwork but these do not perform well, Stick with artist grade if you are looking to do the same. Contemplating returning them if it's not too much of a hassle.
