I really love this K&N cold air intake. It's easy to install and gives great performance. The price is a little bit high, but it's definitely worth it! Highly recommend.

k&n knows how to make a product and package it. you get everything you need in terms of hardware and quality! instructions are clear and you also get a dyno sheet from their test mule. of course, included is the elusive CARB sticker. i know its shallow, but i was impressed with the quality of the heat-shield garnish. pretty nice...the model is for a 2004 gto, but i put it in my LS1 swapped Nissan S14. i bought this to complete the street legal aspect of the swap.i can't claim any power gains because i didn't have an intake on there after the install, but if you have a stock setup you will definitely benefit.i took one start off because of the price. i understand you get what you pay for, and with this kit you definitely do, it just seems that it could be a little cheaper.

Great product and really easy install. I installed this kit in about 30 minutes and the results were spectacular! I mainly wanted the kit for the sound and i seen videos on how it sounded so i wasnt sure, but when you hear it in person it is so worth it! The car seems so much more responsive to. I would recommend this purchase to anyone who is looking for a small upgrade for their vehicle. Very good product!

I was able to install the FIPK kit quickly and easily. I picked it over AEM because it had dyno results in writing as opposed to the AEM brute force that just said "horsepower gains". The sound difference was minimal, which was nice for long drives, maybe a tad better rumble. Overall, however, almost no difference could be felt. A slight increase in throttle response, but not any better pickup as I have experienced with AEM intakes. The K&N though is a good product, quality made. It may add the 18 hp it claims, it is just harder to feel on a 350hp engine as opposed to the AEM i had, which gave 12 on a 250 hp engine. Very happy with my purchase to be honest.

Installed on a 2004 Pontiac GTO, along with 8.5mm MSD wires (generic LS1 kit) and NGK TR5IX iridium plugs gapped at 0.040". The car was formerly throwing engine codes of right and left banks running lean/rich. New plugs and wires cleared that code. Car has mildly more noticeable torque, which helps break the tires loose MUCH easier. Due to the K&N filter being less restrictive in all aspects compared to the stocker, more engine noise comes back out the cone filter than would on the stock filter. Result is a louder engine bay, although I don't believe the exhaust note has changed. There is a significantly noticeable and beastly "whoosh" (aka, I'm sucking in loads of cold air) when you blip the throttle - can be heard plain as day when the hood is up, but also from within the car when driving around town. A blind monkey could follow the included instructions - they're 100% thorough, telling you ever screw to turn when and even a few tricks to make the install easier. Installed at 80K miles. Seems to have helped the car overall, however no improvement in MPG (not expected from more intake - better headers/exhaust result in better MPG). Worth the money if you're going to mod the car further, or just want to be able to say you have a K&N kit. Overall, installing the kit would take any average grease monkey about an hour or so (took me much longer, due to other concurrent upgrades). Recommended for every LS1 Goat.

After researching several types , brands , and comparing power gains for four or more cold air intake kits for my 2004 Holden Monaro (read Pontiac G T O) . I prudently purchased the industry standard K & N Gen II kit which installed incredibly easy since it was carefully engineered to fit the engine with absolutely no modifications . Power gains occur as mapped on the enclosed graph . This mod is all go . No problems or quirks , even though I am not sure why the gen II kit could not be offered in bright metal finish , but appearance is secondary to function . A very sound purchase .
