I LOVE this product. Since covid quarantine, I've been in the hammock almost every day. It keeps me warm in cold weather and hasn't made me hot in warm weather. Super easy to hang. Super easy to pack up. Convenient to take anywhere. I just keep the locking D rings on it for easy assembly.

This is a very versatile piece of kit that would probably be great for a "just in case" in the car for someone who lives in a warm climate and doesn't do the outdoors very often. It does what the manufacturers claim, and that's pretty neat. However:As a poncho, it's not waterproof, nor is the water resistance very good. It's bulky and heavy when worn, and it takes a while to get used to deploying it from the hard to compress bag.As a sleeping bag, it's alright for warmer nights. I wouldn't want to use this in anything but the most moderate of conditions, however, unless you're combining this piece with another bag. But, the insulation isn't thick and has lots of baffles. The baffles seem to be the sewn through type, reinforcing that this isn't a cold weather quilt, but they create lots of cold spots you wouldn't get with a different insulation like Climashield Apex, or a different baffling. Once again, it's pretty heavy for the warmth. As a ground cover or overhead cover, it's not water proof and it's pretty heavy. It feels okay to the touch, though, and that's not for nothing. As a hammock, it's very small and heavy, and the insulation compresses between the inner and outer layers of the hammock, meaning that if you would normally need an underquilt, you likely still will. Nonetheless it's once again not a fun thing to compress into one's bag.As an underquilt, it's heavy, hard to compress, and cold.As a pillow, it's alright, but once again heavy. But if you're storing the things required to make it into a hammock, like carabiners, with the thing you're going to figure out something to do with those. For sixty dollars US, the user gets a lot from this. The trouble that stretches beyond the weight and size of the thing is that nearly all of the "uses" for this beyond as a surprise picnic blanket or as a car gadget, apart from acting as a poncho, are likely to be things you'll want at the same time. And this thing simply cannot do all of the things at once. Further, if it's cold enough to merit using this as a poncho, you're going to have to undoff it in order to set up your hammock or underquilt or sleeping bag. Brr.Getting bespoke gear for each of the purposes this blanket purports to have can be expensive, even if you're looking at the lower end cottage makers. But if you've got a sewing machine, time, and a slight amount of patience, it's easy to make extremely lightweight, durable goods that would serve the same temperature conditions as this for the same or not much more money, which would be much more packable, have the appropriate parts be truly waterproof, etc.As for me, this blanket has moved to the car. I keep a spare set of carabineers with it, as well as a set of tree straps. But apart from use as an overpriced ground sheet, and for spontaneous guest use (pre/post COVID), I just don't use the thing anymore.

Select baseball and softball start in late March in the Midwest and the weather is seldom pleasant at that time. With two kids playing several games a week, and this mom who wouldn't miss her kids' games for anything, I needed something to block the wind, rain and chilly temps that I'm sometimes sitting in for several hours on a tournament weekend. This is the third "sports blanket" I purchased...and will be the last. The first one was a basic fleece-lined, water resistant blanket. I quickly found that it didn't keep me warm around my neck and cover my feet to keep them warm at the same time. The second was a highly rated waterproof blanket advertised for "extreme weather". It was warm, but stiff, and the "inside" fleece layer and "outside" waterproof layer of the blanket were not secured to each other, so I found that when I tried to wrap myself up like a burrito, the two layers slipped around a lot and annoyed me.Then I ran across this blanket when ordering new folding lawn chairs made by the same company (which I love, by the way!). I wasn't shopping for yet another blanket (because my search for the perfect blanket was getting expensive), but this one intrigued me. While I will likely never make a tent, hammock, or shade canopy out of it, the fact that it is that versatile seemed pretty cool and I really liked the fact that it had a hood. So, I decided to give it a shot. I have not been disappointed.PROS:- This blanket is thin and very "flexible" (not stiff like others I've bought), but still very warm.- It can be zipped around the perimeter to make a sleeping bag, which I have done once and found pretty handy.- It is plenty large enough to cover my feet while sitting and it wraps around me a couple of times for added warmth.- It has a built-in carrying bag so I don't have to keep track of a small, lightweight bag that could easily blow away if I (or one of my kids...or my husband) doesn't tuck it away somewhere while using the blanket.- It is very easy to wash. One of the other blankets mentioned above holds water inside it when washed and, since it isn't really supposed to be put in the dryer, it takes forever to dry out.- If you're also a fan of the Kijaro lawn chairs, the blanket colors match the chair colors! Bonus!CONS:- I really wish the hood had some sort of "closure"...like a snap or drawstrings. It doesn't stay on my head very well unless I "swaddle" myself in the blanket to secure it tightly around my neck with the blanket sort of overlapping the bottom corners of the hood. But, I will eventually remedy that by adding snaps or something to tighten the hood around my face.Overall, I LOVE this blanket. My husband and kids know that they can take either of my other outdoor blankets without fear, but don't mess with Mom's Kijaro Kubie blanket!!

It works almost perfectly but mine had a few extra snaps of the same kind so I couldn't use the poncho feature fully. If it had not been for that it would have been five stars. But in its place I have the sleeping bag/hammock combo so it's a pretty good tradeoff. It is not something for winter use outside but more for fall/spring/summer use. It is bigger than I expected when stored in pillow form but it is a good size. It is ripstop-like nylon on both sides and the hood has fleece on one side so inside and outside are defined. It is an excellent product and if you like hammocks and being outdoors relaxing and enjoying the day then definitely pick one up for yourself, completely worth the money.

This product is fantastic , it's many uses make it a valuable traveling companion. Whether in the car or when camping you appreciate having this around. One thing is that is is bulky when packed in it's own bag, but not enough to knock off a star. I can hardly wait for spring to try it as a hammock. I tell everyone one that will listen how much I enjoy my Kubie!

I am very happy about this product! I will be able to replace the many things in my car that this can do. It will work great for emergencies or pleasure. It's very cool to have it be able to do so much. I'm going to order carabineers soon so I can hammock with it as well! The material is good, and I think it will be easy to wipe clean on most parts.

I am thrilled with my Kijaro Kubie. It is Lightweight, warm and comfortable. It is versatile and have used it as a sleeping bag, a long hooded poncho on cold nights around the campfire with friends. Used as a pillow on a car trip. It has exceeded expectations on all of these uses. Quality product from a quality company.

This is a very innovative and well made product. I would like to get a second one for my wife, but it is hard to justify at the high price point.

The blanket and nice and big. Used as a blanket on ground and for lap. Works great for both. The zipper is a pain when trying to put back in pouch.

It is exactly as advertised. My wife loves it when we go watch our son play football.
