I have a 4.5yo hiker(I would say she is skilled since she have been hiking in the Rockies since 2yo)We went hiking yesterday on a rocky trail with lose gravel. She didn’t fell down the whole trail even when she ran downhill on the trail. I was really nervous but she actually did great, better than other times.Pros:They are lightweight and well made, somehow flexible. I found my kid been more agile in these. They were fairly easier to put in/take off.The material seems to be waterproof but I didn’t quite try that feature yet. I didn’t have a spare just in case it failed.Cons:My kid usually wears thick wool socks to hike. She complained it was to tight and I had to changed her to thinner socks( I got size 10, she wears a 9) maybe is just a matter to be broken in. I might have to try another time.Because she wasn’t wearing the thick socks she complained during the hike that it was rubbing uncomfortable over her ankle. I lowered her pants to that area as an extra cushioning layer and she was fine.So far I’m happy with this product. I like the ankle protection. I will update the performance on snow once winter kicks in.

Very nice boots, there nice for hiking and snow, I really like the style. Bought them for my daughter we went hiking to Yosemite and they are so comfortable
