This is well made and is a great value. I used this on a cordless De Walt grinder and the discs installed with no problems at all. After several uses, there is minimal wear and these look like they will last for a long time

I always choose Vine items that I plan to use personally or for my family, and I strive to provide an honest and fair review based on our experience with the product. My ratings range from 1 star to 5 stars, depending on how well the product meets our needs and expectations.These diamond sharpening wheels seem to be high quality and hopefully they hold up well. I'm using them to sharpen my mower blade and various other things around the house. I think they should work fine to cut steel as well, but I haven't tried that. Overall, these are a good deal and so far working great.I hope these diamond sharpening wheels lasts me a long time, but I will update my review should I have any trouble with them in the future.Thank you for reading! The Keyfit Tools Drill Powered Diamond Disc Blade Sharpener Kindling Splitter XL Ax Axe Hatchet (2 Pack) Diamond Carbide Steel Made For Super Fast sharpening of large blades is yet another reason why I'm a huge fan of Keyfit Tools. These disc's work fantastic on my axe, hatchets, splitter, maul and mower blades. All I have to do is keep the angle correct and be gentle with the pressure and the disc will get the blade sharp pronto. The disc's hold up very well and will handle sharpening many blades with excellent results. This beats using files and stones hands down and is a big time saver. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality and performance of the Keyfit Tools Drill Powered Diamond Disc Blade Sharpener and consider them an outstanding value!

Sharpening things is almost a hobby of my adult son's. He will sit and sharpen all our knives at night as we watch TV!! We have other, larger items that also need to be sharpened, so we ordered the Keyfit Tools Drill Powered DiamondDisc Blade Sharpener. While it appears to be excellent, when assembling it to sharpen his ax, he discovered that it wobbled. It is obviously slightly warped. It is a shame that he encountered this problem as otherwise it is quite a nice sharpener. With some tweaking of his own, he was able to balance it so that he went about getting it done and he was very pleased. If they will correct this problem, it will be a five star item.

This sharpening wheel did grind lots of material from my hatchet blade and made it very sharp, so it does what it's supposed to. Unfortunately, there were some quality control and design issues that make this less joyful to use than one would hope.First, these are grinder wheels. They have a large hole in the middle that fits a typical grinder, but they come with a mandrel for use with a hand drill. The mandrel is less than half the diameter of the wheel's central hole, so to center it, you sandwich the wheel with the two included metal discs. These work pretty well. The silly part is the rubber o-ring supplied as a "shim" to help center everything. You can imagine that soft rubber doesn't do the best job for this application. I tried and confirmed that it is a poor choice. You have to manually center the wheel, and it will never be perfect, so the rotating assembly is out of balance and wobbles even at low speed.Second, the wheels were a little warped. This made it VERY hard to keep the blade pressed against the spinning wheel with any kind of consistency. Because of this, it was nearly impossible to get a uniform grind across the blade.Overall, this is a useful tool, but the design and QC left much to be desired. It will sharpen, but you will have to closely monitor the process and adjust constantly to make the blade come out evenly sharpened.

If you want something that will put you in the nut house. Buy this. If not. Use the old tried and true a file.This does not work, only lasts for one sharpening. AND I threw out the 2nd brand new disc as I was so PO'd using the first one. Piece of JUNK!
