After I hit a piece of debris on the road and heard crazy wind noise I realized the “skid plate” Tesla puts underneath the car is just felt and cardboard. I knew I needed something more sturdy so I took a chance on this. It arrived a bit bent on the outermost mounting points but I was able to bend those into place with some pliers. I’m glad I did because after that it fit perfectly on the car and gives me a lot more confidence now that if I hit debris again, it’s not going to ruin my front end because this metal plate is actually quite strong!

Fit good was easy to install i just drove the tesla on the oil change ramps i already have used the original screws. Love that it comes with extra screws and was made of a pretty sturdy metal. For the price i would buy it again if i needed to. Car only has 30k miles and that fabric junk originally on there already got damaged so this is an economic and quality replacement.

Great replacement to the fragile plastic OEM skidplate that broke on my model Y. This came well packaged and with plenty of extra screws if your stock screws are missing. I needed a 10mm and 16mm socket to get everything installed which the instructions didn't seem to mention. Installation was very easy and fast - I would recommend putting the passenger side on first (the one with the tabs sticking out), then screw the driver side plate in. After ~1k miles it still looks great and has not come loose.Very great price and easy install, I would absolutely recommend this to other Tesla owners looking for a replacement skid plate!

This one is like a 5th of the price of other options I saw in metal. Fit my 2022 model 3 standard range well. It’s a little awkward but I installed it and removed the old piece without raising the car at all. Most of the bolts you need to reach are at the periphery just behind the wheel well or at the very front, so I just reached my arm in. I did the whole job with my phone light, lock tight, the jolts on the car already (I didn’t need any of the spares in the kit), 10 mm socket wrench, 15mm socket wrench and a Phillips head screw driver. Only downside of this kit compared to other metal options is it ships in 2 piece and u have to screw them together, but it still seems plenty sturdy. Light years stronger than the very fragile plastic piece that came on the car. I’ve heard quotes from Tesla to do this job of $200-800, and when they do it they put a replacement of the flimsy original piece on. This is cheaper and better quality. Plus at least in my area they didn’t give me the option of having this done with mobile Tesla service van. I would have had to go in in person and the nearest service center is an hour away for me.The packaging does leave a lot to be desired. Thin bubble wrap only within the box. The corner of the part poked through the box and got bent badly. Thankfully the metal is thin enough I could bend it back into place with my handIf you do decide to jack up the Tesla or use ramps keep in mind you need a “low profile” jack or ramp. Teslas are pretty low. Additionally if you jack the car up make sure you use Tesla appropriate pucks and only jack at designated areas. You can really mess up your battery if you jack it at a random point

Does not fit a Model 3 despite being advertised as such. Product came bent and required excessive force to bend it back into place to fit the two panels together. The plate is split into two parts and the thinnest possible pieces of metal connect the two with Chinesium screws. Do not buy.

Had an unfortunate incident with snow building up and hardening until the original plastic skid plate cracked when I turned my steering wheel all the way to one side.Easy install while reusing original hardware. Fits perfectly on the 2020 model 3 long range. Took maybe 20 minutes and super confident that this metal skid plate will last much longer and prevent any other unfortunate mishaps.

It’s worked well at first but the small square access panel can come loose and rattle around. Mine eventually fell off and was dangling and grinding on the road.

As the pictures show, the plate comes in two parts. Four included screws are used to join them together. I would have preferred a single piece but I assumes it simplifies shipping that way. It seems plenty rigid once installed. The hole alignment worked pretty well. I ended off with one hole at a front corner that was too misaligned to use. I might have been able to align the plate better, but it seems to hold pretty good without it. I had to use some of the screws they provided because two of the original screws were bent. When the holes lined up perfectly the provided screws worked, but otherwise the original screws with no thread at the tip worked better to help bring the plate into alignment. I don’t know if it’s actually made of manganese steel, but it looks better and smoother than the original plate, and the price was pretty good.
