Purchased for Kenwood TH-D75A and fits perfectly. It can charge a spare battery with the TH-D75A in the recessed well of the charger in front of the spare being charged. Its footprint is a little large as a result. Charging times are quicker than I expected.

Ordered a 5 post battery and received a 4. Ordered a 4 post battery charger (this one) and still won’t charge.

This seems to be a good quality charger. It fits the radio as required without any issues. charges till full and then stops to keep from overcharging battery. Indicator lights let you know the status at a glance. you can even charge a battery w/o the radio attached without issues.

Hi, all.For me, this is a necessary product in addition to the spare battery.This charger is awesome — it rapidly charges the TH-D74’s battery, and the battery does not have to be attached to the TH-D74; you can drop the battery on its own into the charger.As you may or may not know, the TH-D74’s battery life goes quick; hence, for me, I needed a spare battery and a desktop charger that can charge the battery without being attached to the transceiver; so, I can continuously use my transceiver.Apparently, I was surprised to read that not all desktop chargers can charge the battery without being attached to the transceiver.I was very happy to find out this charger can charge just the battery detached from the transceiver.Check 6!/s/ Alfonso Faustino (K6ASF)

This is the charger for the TH-D74A, it works great and charges faster than the junk wall wart that comes with the HT. Great value!!!

This item works great. So easy to drop the radio or the battery in by itself to charge it up. There seems to be a lot of extra room in the "hole" with the radio in there too. I guess one of the other radio's that use this charger is larger. I was pleased to see the input voltage to the base is 12 VDC which means I can feed it from any 12 VDC source to charge my batteries in the field.

I had to wait for a long time for Kenwood/JVC to fill back orders. A little pricey but that is the name of the game.
