I am returning this product. The spring mechanism to hold in the bottle came off on both sides and was impossible to repair. The section on the bottom which holds the bottle in place is very unstable and has areas that could catch the foot of my gerbils. I am usually pleased with Kaytee products and was surprised that this problem had not been detected and the design changed.

I think this works well if you have the kaytee bottle. It holds it up well for my hammys cage and you are able to adjust the height to your liking!

This thing is honestly a lifesaver. Before I had this I had to somehow manage to tie the Kaytee bottles to the Guineapig cage (my girls only like to drink from Kaytee water bottles). This makes it so much easier. You can easily change where if it needs rearranging. Over all AMAZING.

I'm buying a replacement for one I bought 10 years ago. The one I had would still work, but the spring finally gave out (probably too much chewing). It has been through multiple mice, gerbils, and hamsters and worked flawlessly. I love this so much more than other bottle hangers because it is easy to use.

Product does it's job nicely and is very sturdy to hold a 180ml Bottle (im not sure I would put anything bigger); I use Velcro on the back to secure it to my hamster's bin cage. My bin was too thick to be able to use the "hanging flap" on the back of this holder- but this is part of my design and no way a fault of the product. Though, honestly- even for a glass tank, i don't think this holder could hang over that either. This might be a better holder for the thickness of a wire cage.

The only bottle holder I could find to use in a home made cage without bars. Delivery to the UK didn’t take as long as I thought. Found it fitted my normal pets at home bottle. Great product.

my water bottle is too big but holds it ok, the only thing is for my bottle( i use a plastic storage bin for a 'cage') i think because its also not in a cage, tends to leak a bit because of the position the holder holds my bottle. i'm not entirely sure tho. If the bottle is smaller and if you have a cage it'll prob work best.

I bought 2 of these water bottle holders and they worked great for about a week.The spring holder came off and its a real pain to twist it back in because it happens every time the water needs to be refilled, I don't know if it was because of the water bottle (it's the small 8oz. bottle that's recommended for it) or because my kids stretch the spring out just a little to get the water bottle out. The paint is chipping off of the top of both holders, rite at the hanger where I have secured it to the side of our guinea pig cage. The hole at the bottom where I can put the sipper tube through seems to be shortening the water nozzle, so once I secure the bottle onto the holder and put it on the side of the cage my little guinea pigs can barely get water from the nozzle. I'm not happy at all. I purchased this because so many people raved about it and now I feel like I have just flushed money down the drain.

Works like a charm! Simple concept that really doesn't have much room for error. I am using this on a cage with 1 cm bar spaces and it stays put (for the most part) even with my rats climbing all over it. They love sitting on top of their water bottle (8oz), so this contraption has definitely passed the test!

I have been using the bottles shown in the picture for some time for several different cage setups. In the pet stores the bottles are sold with a flimsy aluminum holder that relies on an angled piece of metal to hold the bottle. Especially with the larger bottles, that angled piece bends down with the weight of the filled bottle, and you have to bend it back up to keep the bottle at the right height. Pretty soon that piece flexes so much it falls off and the holder is useless since you can't really glue it back on. I think this holder is going to be much more durable since the metal is heavier and doesn't need to flex. I plan to purchase more.

I already had a water bottle for my rats but had to use an old one because the water bottle I bought was for a wire cage and I have a glass aquarium. The holder I bought was the right size for the bottle but the bottle wouldn't fit! The hole that the metal tube on the water bottle is supposed to go through was too close to the base. I ended up flipping the metal holding piece to the side and just resting the cap of the water bottle on it. It still holds it and it works just fine, but it doesn't hold the water bottle the way that it is meant to.
