I had hoped this adapter ring would have a strong secure magnetic draw. Unfortunately it is a bit weak. Certainly not as strong as Kase's 1:1 filter to lens adapter system. Attempting to rotate the VND often ends up just rotating the filter adapter on this ring. Also, I feel I have to be extra careful not to bump the filter so that it gets knocked off.I saw an Amazon deal on a VND that fits my lens (I put the filter on the front thread of a third-party hood since it won't fit with the native hood), so I returned this adapter and got the dedicated VND for pretty much the same price.
