About this item

  • Fitment: 3/4 shackle with 7/8 pin diameter
  • PERFECT SHACKLE: We designed the Jowl with a D-Ring shackle shape for those off-roaders who prefer a more tradition shackle look on their rigs. Built in pull angle stops are visual reminders that give you feedback to help you keep your pull angles low keeping your recovery safe and as efficient as possible.
  • EASY TO USE: No tools required. Just open up the Jowl shackle hooked sides, insert your recovery rope or tow strap looped end, rotate the end of the tow rope or strap to engage both sides of the shackle, pull tight and you are ready to recover your stuck vehicle.
  • CHOOSE THE BEST COLOR FOR YOU: All color options are fully interchangeable. Buy two different color shackles and combine them to match the color scheme of your rig and give your build a more custom accented look. The hooked sides are fully covered with a durable powder coating pantone color matched to popular truck colors. The shackle pin is Black Nickel plated and machined from High Strength Grade 8 Carbon Steel.

Need to advertise selling them in pairs. I ordered thinking I would get two and had to order a second one. Otherwise love them

Comes In handy with larger ropes but shouldn’t be left on vehicle when driving. Bolts don’t stay tight very long. Tightened them 3 times in 200 miles then hear a cling cling noise to see flying pieces of the shackle behind my truck on the highway. Glad they didn’t hit any vehicles. Be wary. Would consider buying again if they come out with a better securing pin bolt

I love the split shackle concept for permanent mounting but the pin design stinks. The pin is threaded on both sides with two end caps. The end caps are driven by a 1/4 ratchet drive. How many people have 2 1/4 ratchets? Once one side becomes tight it’s impossible to loosen more than a single side with the ratchets without marring the surface of the pin and holding it with a Vice grip. The threads work loose every time you open the split shackles and will likely come loose on the road and fall off your vehicle without a lot of thread locker. They have a video suggesting the threads come with thread locker (they don’t) and that you shouldn’t use blue thread locker because it’s permanent (wrong again). Not instilling confidence. You can’t tighten the bolt end nuts well because the holes to insert the 1/4 socket drive isn’t milled out deep enough. I could only get the first 1/8in of each socket drive in the hole before it bottomed out. That’s before the lock ball position even on the ratchet. Even a small amount of force causes the sockets to cam out.Lastly, the casting is off on one of the two shackles I received and binds up at an angle when the pin is tight. This makes it so the jaws won’t key together and close unless the bolt is super loose. Not safe and needs to be exchanged.Could be a great product but they need to fix the manufacturing inconsistency and provide a deeper slot for the ratchet drive.

I've purchased one. It took a while to get to me. It looked great on my jeep and I definitely needed another one. It arrived quicker than the first. The packaging is like opening a high end luxury item but it's this beautiful rugged offroad recovery piece. It will definitely make recoveries much quicker and easier.

Super convenient. There is no pin to fuss with or have come loose and get lost. Pricey but you will only have to buy once.
