It was easy to use, as I got a medium soft reed. I used it for the first time I've played English Horn, and I loved the result! I'm not an excellent judge because of that. I'm not sure if it's a me issue, a bocal issue, or the reed, but it would slip off the bocal pretty easily.

English Horn reeds are pretty hard to find, and this one is definitely decent, if you don't make your own reeds or know someone who does. It will never match the quality of a handcrafted reed, but its better than the other commercial reeds I've tried, and can also be scraped a bit to suit your playing style.
