I didn't like the reviews of the similar but more expensive name brand tools. So, I purchased this one from Amazon. The cutter produced clean straight cuts on my hydraulic brake lines/cables. The tool held the line tightly as I used the press to insert the barbs of needle into the line. Tool worked great! Very satisfied.

i needed to shorten the brake lines for my SS CX flat bar build. could not of worked better. dang its easier than redoing a cable brake system. likely wont even need to bleed the lines.

This tool is worth every penny. Very sharp and functions well for its purpose. Very well made woth good materials.Great addition to my toolbox. I was able to convert mechanical brakes to hydraulic with this tool.

Bought it for a new Stumpjumper Evo build and was very happy with the tool. Had no problems cutting the line straight so it sealed properly and inserting the barb was smooth and easy.If you need one just buy this. Love that it has the cutter as part of the tool and that it is all metal vs the plastic that you get with the bigger brands (for twice as much). And based on the videos I’ve seen this tool also has an easier to use clamp method to grip the cable while you insert the barb.
