The slim fit is nice for wearing under pants but they do not provide good protection.

For the price I thought I'd be getting a pair of protective padded shorts more protective than the $20 padded shorts I have already. I don't think these are worth what they cost and I will be returning for a refund and keep my $20 padded shorts.

Pretty comfy but not enough protection. I landed on my tailbone on rollerblades the other day and .. felt it. Figure it’s better to have it than not, but looking for something with probably more padding/shock absorption padding

While these pads aren't necessarily super thick, they're designed to absorb shock. And they fit well and work well. I've seen skaters wear other, cheaper short, but we've been told that the shock-absorbing ones work better. Excellent purchase! And because we bought them through Amazon (instead of through Jerry's) it arrived much faster!

My daughter is 12 starting to learn double jumps and finds these shorts very useful. Not too bulky - good protection from falls.

Haven't done a bum wacker yet so don't know if they're the armor I hope for when that does occur, but they fit nicely under my skate pants and are comfortable. I hardly know I'm wearing them. Nicely constructed and seems like a good product.

We ordered these shorts after my daughter cracked her tailbone during a fall on the ice. Don't get me wrong, falls still hurt, they always will, but there is a big difference between hurting and injuring yourself. Most important, wearing the shorts gives my daughter more confidence to practice her routines because she knows she has this extra layer of protection. All in all, a very worthwhile investment.

I love these shorts. They are so comfortable that I forget I am wearing them until I sit down. The pads protect but they are not too big. I wear them for ice skating and skiing. I want to add that I have fallen hard on the ice and also on hard packed snow on the ski slope and these shorts really do protect extremely well. Before I got these shorts I fell on the hard packed snow and had a bruised tail bone for about two weeks. Although it sounds like I am a klutz, I fell only three times in one year. But the point is this, even though the risk of falling is slight I will wear this shorts every time I ski (helmet,too) or skate because they protect and are SO comfortable. An injury is easily avoidable with these shorts. I have the black ones and have even worn them OVER black jeans with a long sweater when I skate so if I need to go to the store after I skate, I just slip off the shorts. Even my ice skating instructor did not notice I was wearing them over my black jeans until I pointed it out to her. Of course, they are usually worn under your pants or whatever. I doubt that it would work with the beige. You can wear them under your jeans and still go in a store because they do not make your rear look fat. ;>)
