I use this to charge my scooter in town, just make sure your charger can handle 110-220v read the back of your charger

This unit is 240V, both hot on the two prongs. It is not 120V!

Good, sturdy quality, plug-and-play, now I can charge my EV and then have a 110V plug available for vacuuming, charging a bike, scooter, etc. loving it. My EV charger displays the current passing to the bike charger, very convenient.

Improperly wired, keeps tripping surge protector with "Reverse Polarity" message. Charge station works properly when not using adapter.

I was hesitant to buy this for the one or two bad reviews it had. But I did more research online and everyone clearly stated to make sure your Charger itself is 240 Compatible. I checked and my charger has a physical switch to change between 120 volt and 240 volt.So I got this adapter and downloaded the Chargepoint app. I arrive at the charging station, plug in the adapter, and then plug my charger. Everything works like a charm. This is great because not only can I charge 120 volt, now I can also use 240 volt EV chargers!

There’s a quirk using this. It works, but you need compatible electronics and that does not mean they need to simply be rated for 240v.When you arrive at a charge station, simply pay and connect the product. It will simply say it started charging and the red LED will illuminate. One of the station plugs wouldn’t align right but the other did. That’s not a fault of this device. Although the station may claim the charge is complete because the current consumed to charge at 2-3 amps is so low, it’ll keep electricity flowing until you decide to stop. For example, my Anker 67W mini GaN charger got very confused by it. Although it’s rated for 240v, it would start charging and then stop.My included scooter charger worked to charge the battery, but the scooter electronics that would normally show state of charge shut down until the charger was disconnected. The scooter works fine, so it just needs to be charged blindly. My other phone charger worked to charge both my power bank and my phone without glitching. Consider using a power bank with a digital display to monitor charging state. With that in mind, I happily paid $0.07 for 2 hours and 40 minutes to charge my phone and my scooter at a ChargePoint station. It will be interesting to test a high current scooter charger that I ordered next and I need to find a suitable laptop charger. Recharging at 12 amps is far more interesting than at 2 amps. :)

Makes sense that this happens and the description sort of says this is the case, but it's dangerous tothink you're plugging into 120 volts and then get 240. The device needs some sort of indicator/warning what voltage it's at. Luckily I tested with an LED bulb (which fried) before I plugged in an expensive charger/inverter for my camper van that is not spec'd for 240 volts. That would have sucked.

It easily connects to my local EV charging station. I currently use it to charge my battery generator, and plan to use it for charging my scooter. It has a great build quality, and is a value for your money if you plan on charging multiple times. It fits compact for storage, and is a great item. I highly recommend it!

its a very solid build on this. I was expecting like a cheap plastic but this is very well built. not for use with fast charging systems though so you have to use slow EV chargers.
