I purchased two of these for my 20ft bay boat. I use them in conjunction with carabiners on the rear of my boat to anchor. They work very well. The handle is made of a cheaper plastic and I'm anticipating it breaking eventually, but the rod itself is incredibly strong.3/26/2025 Update: As suspected, the handle snapped right off in my hand today. 3rd trip since purchasing, and only the 2nd time it's been in my hands to use. The plastic they use for this handle is actual junk. Deducting stars simply due to it breaking with very little stress and not even under load.

They seem to be pretty bad ass…at least for my purpose. I fish shallow salt flats which are for drifting and spot casting. This will eliminate anchor splash and trolling motor buzz. It should help to pole the flats and lock down position where stealth is key. Long term We will see.

We've had our Island Anchor for over a year and it has held up beautifully! We've used it in the Florida Keys as well as Lake Anna in Virginia. Well worth the money!

It's a good product, but go get a piece of rope or it's not as useful as intended. 6 foot of good rope would have gotten a 5 star review.

I fish East Galveston Bay which has marsh, oyster shell reefs and sand bars. This anchor is simple, stick it and you are anchored. No noise versus the galvanized anchor and no complications of hydraulic anchor systems. Very economical to purchase and maintain.

First of all, this product is great. Nice and sturdy, heavy, yet not too heavy. Holds my kayak in place great and really digs into the pond/lake/river bottom well with little effort. I had an issue before i got the anchor where i rolled my kayak. Found a good stake mount for my track and now can put in the stake whenever i want to stop somewhere or just to even take time to measure and release my fish. Moreover, USPS had issues with delivery and Jeff worked to get me another one out ASAP. Thank you Jeff and SaltyAdventures!
