My old ironing board cover had lost its shape—it’s about 25 years old—and barely stayed in place anymore. So I replaced it with this super cute, extra-thick cover, and I have to say, it’s given me a surprising amount of joy! The thick padding adds great support, and the buckle clasps underneath keep it securely in place. Plus, the elephant design is a perfect touch. Overall, a wonderful addition to my sewing room!They say getting old sucks, but it’s pretty awesome getting a thrill from a new ironing board cover. :)

TLDR; Fits well on a 15x54 ironing board, good waterproof (or water resistant) coating on surface, elastic straps to snug the cover along the sides.Our previous ironing board cover had a draw string elastic type fitting, and the elastic band had lost its stretch, and the cover was working loose.This replacement cover has a much thicker padding on the underside as compared to the old one.You can see from the pics, instead of a drawstring type fitting, it has an elastic around the whole perimeter of the cover, and two elastic cross straps with buckles.The description mentions a stain resistant coating - it appears to have a waterproof type finish, as any misting spray on the surface tends to bead, which is a plus. Prevents moisture from soaking into the padding and eventually rusting the board underneath.
