The quality fits the price. :/The top wood is soft and dents easily and will likely stain easily. The instructions had virtually no words and there were a couple of specialty pieces of hardware that had no instruction at all….which caused a little problem later. The screwdriver they sent was junk. The drawers don’t work well at all. The 2 biggest shelves aren’t adjustable, which was a huge surprise. Ended up, not being able to put my air fryer in there. The shelves will scratch/ mark up easily so I covered them with contact paper. The extra top that drops down is only held on by three small screws on each side that go directly into the top, and there’s no middle support so there’s a bit of a sag. We are spending additional money to cover the top to protect it.

This island is not the most durable or sturdy piece of furniture but for the price it's pretty good. The knobs are actually plastic, not metal but can be easily replaced if you wish. I personally covered the top with contact paper to match my kitchen cabinets. The cabinet doors have a soft close hinge. I did notice another review say that there was a gap between the doors but the hinges are able to be adjusted very easily so the doors align properly. Assembly was not too difficult. There was one step at the beginning that was not clear to me but once I worked through that it was smooth sailing.

Overall the cabinet is fine. While there are a lot of pieces and 43 steps to assemble it, it is fairly easy. Once put together the doors do not meet leaving a gap. Also the protectant film on the knobs was almost impossible to get off. It took an xacto knife to get it off which left them scratched up, which I believe is the whole reason for protection????Will do fine for what I need it for. There is also exposed hardware on the sides and spice rack that you do not see in the picture. I did not receive any coverings for them if they were supposed to be in the box.

Came out ok, didn’t like the gaps between the 2 cabinets and the one cabinet, too big of a gap. Big drawer collides with top middle portion of the of the top of island. Also there was a missing step/instruction where a screw needed to go in order to lock in. Other than that, pretty decent.
