With some warmer weather finally here, it was a good opportunity to give the "fleet" a good scrubbing to get rid of all the winter yuck last weekend. The two most used in the winter months, our Jeep and our new Bronco, really need some attention! The brake pads I last installed on the Jeep produce a tremendous amount of dust and over the past few months the dust has really built up. Quick trips through the carwash won't even phase the buildup and it's depressing seeing my fancy wheels in such disarray. Using a few spritzes of this fallout remover you can immediately see the brake dust breaking down and turning purple. With a bit of help from a detailing wand for agitation, and a few seconds with a power-washer my wheels are looking as good as new again! With my Bronco, I am embarrassed to say we didn't immediately give it a ceramic coating or at least some kind of sealant/wax after purchasing it. We also got lazy and ran it through the car wash as needed. I know, I know, I'm a horrible person. Before coating, it's important to get the paint perfectly clean from contaminants, and it's surprising to see how much iron collects on the paint just from transport, not to mention several months of winter weather. After doing some testing in an inconspicuous area, I did the entire car to get the detail party started. It's amazing how much purple came to life! A good hose-down with the pressure washer and it's ready for the clay bar and some polishing.Overall I'm quite pleased with this product. It worked perfectly for my detailing needs and I'd most certainly purchase more.

If you're washing your car to the point that you're using iron remover, then pat yourself on the back as getting to this point is quite a bit of work.I personally like to use iron remover as a lubricant for clay bars and the combination works really well. This particular iron remover sprays on evenly and doesn't dry too quickly which makes it great for the clay bar. Still need to let it sit and do its magic for a couple of minutes. it emulsifies well and comes off easily with a light spray. Picked up a noticeable amount of contaminants from the headlamps.Anyway, left my car nice and pristine and ready for a good polish.

I have used many brands of iron remover and a lot of them come with terrible quality sprayers, and this sprayer was actually pretty good. This product smells, but so do most iron removers and that's just the nature of what this chemical does. Inspect your car closely, cause if you have significant iron deposits than it can eat through your paint and cause rust. This stuff turns a purple color when it detects iron and then I let it sit and usually it brings back any coating that your car may have. Overall it works great, just a tad pricey.

If you are going to ceramic coat your car, after washing with a strip wash, paint decontamination comes next. You should do chemical decontamination first with an iron remover product and then do physical decontamination with a clay bar or synthetic clay mitt/towel. This is the correct order as you want to remove the iron particles first and not grind them into the paint with your clay bar. This is a super easy product to use. Simply spray it on your paint and wait for the chemical reaction. Every place you see purple is an iron particle being dissolved. After a few minutes, rinse thoroughly. I actually do a contact wash to be sure all of the iron remover is itself removed. You can then clay your iron particle free paint. Some have commented on the smell. While not pleasant, it's the nature of the beast or, in this instance, the nature of the chemical required to create the reaction. Iron particles don't remove themselves, a chemical reaction is required. It's just one of those things you have to deal with for a few minutes. The results are worth it.I recently acquired a very low mileage SUV that had been owned by a local municipality. I doubt it had ever spent a night in a garage. The paint felt like sandpaper, no baggie was required. This remover was very effective, I saw a lot of purple. It left the paint easier and safer to clay.

This product is designed for use as a decontaminate with a focus on iron. Brake dust is a major problem particularly on wheels and calipers. After a basic cleaning this product dissolves the iron particles that get embedded in the paint. Left unattended the corrosion of the particles causes pitting and other damage. I like the purple color change which alerts you that the product is working. Rinse this product thoroughly and do not allow it to dry or use on hot surfaces. This product is a must have in caring for your painted wheels as well as other painted surfaces!

I’m not sure what it is, but I can’t use this spray without a mask on. I showed my friend the smell and he had to go inside until I washed it all away. It smells like rotten eggs combined with fluoride. It functions very well and reacts visibly with the iron, but I can not in good conscience use this when clients are present.
