I was looking to replace a heavy whip I was using (and juggling with due to its weight). This one is perfect. It is actually very pretty, and it is lightweight. It does not affect how I can hold and maneuver my hands while riding the way the old one did.The packaging was a little strange (in a clear plastic bag that was taped to a long piece of cardboard). But, it arrived in perfect condition (I have read horror stories about whips arriving broken because the seller stuffed them into a box), so the method of packaging worked well. It is a gift quality whip (again, really quite pretty), but maybe ship it to a different address if you live with the person you will give it to because the packaging hides nothing.

The whip itself is fine. It’s a good value for the money. I’m giving it 4 stars because of the way it was shipped. It literally came in a clear plastic sleeve that was taped to a cardboard backing so it was fully visible upon delivery. This sparked a very uncomfortable conversation with my mail lady about whether we were abusing our horses with this giant whip.

I love it!, except it needs and I expected it to have the usual attached wrist loop, so you dont drop or loose it when on horseback. I had to make one for it.

For the price this is an excellent whip. Stylish enough for off property, functional and fine enough for every day work. I like a fine handle, if you like something more substantial this may not be for you. Nice action, good control.
