In my opinion, works just as good as OEM and way cheaper. It's not plug'n'play meaning it needs to be enabled in the vehicle computer by the dealer.

Despite low price compared to OEM, this controller does indeed work! Install is straightforward and tool me about 30 minutes. Trip to a dealer will be required to enable the software or use alpha OBD app and DIY.During my first trip (about 3 hours) the trailer brake kept disconnecting at random times. I have no proof if it was controllers fault or trailer’s wiring. However, on the way back it stayed connected for the entire trip. I’m leaning towards the trailer wiring being faulty.

This was purchased for a 2020 RAM 1500 Longhorn. This is like an OEM fit, and install is easy. The only downside is that you do have to go to a Dealership to get your vehicle programed to use it.

Installation was difficult, and it failed to integrate properly with my Ram 1500. The controller occasionally malfunctions, affecting braking performance and reliability.

I recently installed a brake controller in my truck. The process was relatively straightforward, especially with the assistance of several instructional videos available on YouTube. The most challenging aspect was detaching the screen from my dashboard; I had to apply considerable force, which made me cautious to avoid any damage. I knew my truck would need to visit the dealership for programming, and I had anticipated this requirement in my budget. All DT ram trucks must be programmed to add lights and other accessories. The controller works just like a factory OEM. It was a fraction of the cost and fits properly and works.
