This works perfectly, super comfortable, I recommend reclining and then removing the seat when not in use. Reclining makes the head rest attach and detach easily, and will prevent damaging your seat material. The lever was easy to install, and it feels very sturdy. I wish you could buy separate seat backs to better match your seats... also a real leather or higher quality material options would be good. Over all.. I love it.

I had to fabricate this item by cutting it apart and making it smaller so that it would fit under my seat it took me hours I almost gave up.

The instructions suck, I have tons of extra hardware but the seat is installed and worth the money.I'm 6'3 and feel like the seat needs to recline more but oh well, in the most reclined position it'll still work. The issue I ran into was not knowing where to install the pull adjustment lever. I almost gave up and just let it rest under the seat but after about 20 minutes of searching where the lever could be mounted, I finally found the hole (that's what she said). See my pictures. It mounted fine on my 2020 Street Glide Special. I haven't taken it for a spin but sitting on it feels nice, I have a long ride tomorrow but if this review still shows 5 stars, then everything went well and the seat is worth 5 stars.

I have a 2012 Harley FLHTK, I bought this for a 2000 +/- mile ride with my brother. The mount for the fender is good and solid and mounted easily enough. The issue I have is with the cheap metal post for the backrest itself. I felt as if it never had good support after a few hundred miles. During a pit stop, I pulled it out and inspected it and the backrest post was bent. I didn't lean back on it to much or apply that much pressure when riding. Now, I'm about 6' tall and about 195 lbs, so IMHO the bracket should be able to take me leaning against it. I ended up having to straighten it out with a dead blow hammer and the concrete a few times during the ride. Needless to say, I was/am disappointed.Overall it would be 5 stars if the post holding the backrest pad was stiffer and didn't bend so easy. The metal they used isn't even comparable to Mild Steel I get from the local supplier and is much softer. The install was easy and the price point was much cheaper than the Stealership.

This product was relatively easy to install on my 09 Road King FLHR. I'm taller and this coupled with the tall boy seat gives me the ability to stretch out much better. This product really gives you more option than the standard Harley solution which I wasn't able to use as it pushed me back toward the tank even when I used the furthermost set of mounting holes. The fact that the the head rest just swaps over to give you a closer fit or more distance. I like the notches so you can tighten it down to just that point where it holds and you can still pull it out. I used the existing Harley bolts and nuts from the factory back rest across the board and found that it all fit together with very little struggle. The only down side in my situation is that my tall boy seat's underside doesn't line up just right so it makes it a bit difficult to put the rear seat screw in. I'm glad I got it and regret not getting this sooner.

Before purchasing I read a lot of reviews and it seems most people knocked off a star due to lack of instructions or maybe needing a bolt that didn't come with it. This is backrest costs 1/3rd the price of most name brand ones yet it still very comfortable and easy to install. There are dozens or videos on the internet showing how you how to install if you are unsure about something. I also had to use a bolt out of my bolt bin because the ones provided were too long for the space allotted. If you are even a little mechanically inclined, you should be able to install this backrest without drilling any holes, and either using a bolt from your bin, or using a hacksaw to shorten one of the ones provided. If this were a name brand one that cost over $200 I would be upset about no directions or needing a different bolt, but it's not. If you don't have a bolt bin, use that $140 you're saving to go buy a bolt. 10/10, would buy again.
