Infinity reference speakers are and have always been great speakers especially for the price. These are no exception. If you want your car stereo to sound the best it can on a budget you can't do better than JBL 6.5 gto 180w in the front and their cousin our very own infinity reference 180 w coaxials in the rear. Paired with even a decent head unit this set up combines to sound like it's amplified with a small sub. The reference speakers have a surprisingly nice bass response. Definitely worth buying especially with the price being so inexpensive.

Sound great, price was right. If I could change a couple of things....1- Being able to swivel the tweeter a quarter or half way one way or the other. 2- Either double the amount of foam tape or wider tape. Again, I am happy with these speakers. Just a heads up, make sure you get long enough speaker wire harness adapters or you'll be struggling to just barely make the connections to be able to aim the tweeters correctly. I put them in the front and rear doors of my 2020 Toyota Camry SE non JBL.

The 6522xi is a very satisfying speaker. I'm interested in quality sound for a reasonable price. I sure hope they last for a long, long time ! I'm wish the tweeters could face directly forward and the grills were a little less bulky but in a car where they might get kicked on occasion, the sturdiness is probably appreciated. Not a lot of bass but the higher the power, the more they punch. I don't use them loud but they can get VERY loud.

I would like to preface this review with my personal background (seeing as “some guy on the internet says these speakers sound totally rad” doesn’t mean much) First and foremost, I’m an audiophile and a grade-A nerd. I have almost two decades of experience playing musical instruments, recording sound, designing and installing home theaters, and building car audio systems. But enough about me, let’s talk about these speakers! It’s easy to make a car audio system “sound good”. Building more advanced systems, concentrating on maximum SQ or SPL require more thought and much better equipment. Cue this great set of 6.5’s. Crystal clear at standard volume, and bright, lively tone at higher volumes. Bass response is clear and resonant if installed properly. At this price point, you’d be hard-pressed to do better than these. If you want better speakers than these, you’re getting into competition audio and true reference-level speakers, and the price goes way up to play that game. I’d recommend these to absolutely anyone.

2014 Kia Sorento stock non-Infinity system. Installed in all 4 doors and damn what a difference. Simple to change if you know what you're doing. Fit perfectly behind the door panels. Even used the OEM bolt on housing and connectors. Did require destroying of the crappy speakers...but no loss there! Well worth it. I may not even upgrade my head unit now. However - if you expect thumping bass, the stock system will need more help. I typically only drive 10 miles a day at most, so I'm good.Update: While these are a vast improvement over the stock non Infinity system, and I would be ok with it of I had to, I will be adding an 8" under the seat sub like a Rockwill to just help with a little more low end and fill in the missing thump. I guess having a Harman Kardon system in our Optima has me spoiled....a little. Why should my wife have all the good sound?

I’m not an audiophile, but rather just someone who enjoys good music and knows a thing or two about making custom sound systems that meet my needs. With that, I set out to upgrade my the current soundstage of my 2017 Honda Pilot EX-L. It comes standard with 7 speakers, one of which is a subwoofer, but its main purpose is active noise cancelation (you’ll find more info on this topic by simply googling “Honda ANC”). The other ones include two tweeters on the A columns and one mid-range speaker in each door. I didn’t want to overspend both time and money so I opted to not install an additional amp and sub. I decided to upgrade just the front and rear doors’ speakers, which I feel will meet my expectation with carefully selected speakers. I ended up buying this set for the front and the three-way Rockford Fosgate to meet my budget constraints. Now, you might ask why bother if I don’t add any amp, sub, or even an aftermarket head unit. Again, I have a family with budget constraints, but wanted to improve the sound quality to the best of my ability and budget allowance. Let me just tell you that after I installed them myself and turned the car on for the first time, I was very impressed by the sound quality, especially this speaker set. The Rockford pair is pretty good as well, but the Infinity one is in a class of its own. I can hear the instruments playing in the background crystal clear and the vocals sound a lot smoother at higher notes without sacrificing any bass reproducing. Admittedly, I also installed the FAST Speaker Rings and added some Dynamat-like material to the door, although not heavily applied. The combination probably gives me the results I wanted without spending hundreds if not even thousands on the system (not to say it’s not worth it, I wished I had money for it). Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and the overall Prime shopping/shipping experience. I would highly recommend these speakers for your applications.
