I have recently reclaimed/recovered a bunch of tools that were in storage and somehow got wet. They were bright orange with rust. The larger tools, like my lathe and drill press, are too big to try to submerge in a pool of rust remover so I brushed this rust remover on the surface to try to bring the lathe back to life. I applied it to the bed of the lathe, let it soak for several minutes and then scrubbed with a scouring pad. This rust remover works great at dissolving and loosening the rust so it could be wiped away. I’m not completely done, but the portions of the lathe that I have completed look surprisingly good. My wife was convinced that I would have to replace all of my tools, but I’m pretty confident that I can bring them all back to life with this rust remover. I love that it is non-toxic and has minimal odor.
