Product Description

This rope core whip will be your best gear, a sophisticated bull whip. Entirely handcrafted from 8 strands of genuine cowhide leather in a dark brown Color. Features a strong but well-balanced handle and a practical wrist strap. 18 inches long Fall and 8 inches cracker, comes with a cracking sound. This whip will be a great cowboy, western whip, or even a realistic movie prop. This elegant, powerful “whip” will put the power in your hand, and definitely make a loud crack. Inspired by the Indiana Jones whip, is well crafted and well balanced light weight whip. Although designed for experienced players, beginners may try their luck with it as well.

Whip Care and using instructions:

Upon delivery your whip will be quite stiff. Don’t worry as this is normal. As you use your whip it will “break in” as we say, becoming more supple over time and adapt to your style of cracking. Think about it like getting a new pair of leather shoes. They too might be a bit stiff and uncomfortable in the beginning, but as you wear them they’ll loosen up and form perfectly to your foot. Refrain from trying to speed up the breaking in process by bending the whip back and forth and putting large amounts of leather dressing-/conditioner on it. Just use it like you normally would and give the whip some time.

Whips should be used properly and given long service. Physical damage such as hitting on sharp objects, gravel, concrete etc, being jammed in doors or truck tailgates, or chewed by dogs or poddy calves, obviously will destroy a whip quickly.

Using the whip with excessive force,

As in seeking the loudest possible crack, will cause early breakage of falls and stretch the bolster of the whip. The usual and preferred crack is that attained with minimum force. A strong wrist action will over-stress the keeper on a whip or the junction on a bullwhip, and will cause early failure. Normal use of these whips should employ very little wrist force.

Included in the Packages:

  • One Bullwhip
  • 2 spare Nylon Crackers for free.
  • Whip Care Instructions manual pamphlet. (Must read before use)

Style of Inside Construction of whip:

Bullwhip starts with a wood for the handle that provides both a solid foundation and weight to balance the whip while a rope core is an innermost layer inside of the whip which is attached with the wood. Then there is bolster over the rope core and wood handle. The overlay is done in 8, 12 or 16 plaits. All the minute details are taken into account to achieve the look and feel of the original whip.

Cheap, brittle, utter waste of time. The full length measurements nearly hit 78 & 1/2 inches which translates to (6 feet 6.5 inches) which is below the descriptions of the product saying “8 foot”. Furthermore it is half made and a non functional whip.

I’d probably spend some more if I had more people to whip but this will do

This is...was...a magnificent quality whip, perfectly constructed of fine leather. But, well, I bought it as a toy for my pet serval and caracal -- and they loved it to death, very quickly. I got a few nice videos of the serval towing the caracal across the floor. The fine leatherwork couldn't deal with such abuse, but it was such a hit with them, that I've ordered another one, from the same company, made from nylon paracord. The company's products are of the highest quality, and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

What i got was 2 months late and garbage from China. No knot. No fall. No cracker. Super unhappy

Although I know whip cracking takes some practice and skill. I've been able to make it crack as it should but at the cost of it tearing and breaking the leather that it's made of it doesn't want to relax its shape and is all around difficult to use

Because of a very light weight it’s more difficult to crack. I oiled it heavily several times. After about two weeks the fall popped off. We contacted the company with photos. Two days later a new one was in the mail. Great communication and customer service!

Delighted with this purchase and have been practicing with it regularly. If a beginner like me, order a smaller whip to start with, as this has some weight to it and the length is a factor in cracking. Having said that it's a very well crafted whip and I'm delighted I purchased it, even if it is a challenge to learn

Bought as a birthday present for an 11 year old girl. Near hysteria ensued when the package was opened. Then the rifle shot sounds of the whip cracking were echoing around the house. it's fun, challenging, different from a Barbie Doll for sure, and a great present... to be used with caution... that has historical significance as well. Very well made for a modest price. Just fun to have!

As a beginner , I purchased this whip based on the user comments above. This is not kangaroo hide , but cow hide , as the description honestly says . I'm no judge of bull whips . but , long story short , I was ecstatic when I produced my first whip crack with YouTube instruction . Only a few minutes later , the cracks were almost gunshot loud . Made my ears ring . I received some extra whip crackers and a whip holster , which I had to modify as it was too big for my coiled whip . Good buy . My good buy opinion still stands . A good buy for the money - $44 . That said , this whip lasted 1 1/2 months . Plait on the ball end and transition swell is tattered . The fall hitch came unraveled exposing not a leather core but 1/4 " rope , whipped with cellophane tape on the end . But it did provide a beginners whip .

I honestly don't know much about whips. I bought it for my boss, but I did use it and was crackin it like a mo-fo! I couldn't tell any wear on it after I was finished. I'd say that it's worth what I paid. I'll probably buy one for myself.
