I bought this rain jacket from a physical Icewear shop in Iceland after discovering that my own rain jacket had lost its waterproofing. I wasn't used to having a jacket like this – when I first wore it in the rain, I was frustrated because the rain wasn't being repelled like I thought it would: rain bounced off for a bit, but it didn't take too long before the jacket started absorbing water. Fortunately, the water seems to stop at the second layer, so it doesn't get through to any clothes underneath. Once exception was the pockets, which were in between the outside and waterproof layers; my phone and wallet got a little wet before I realized this. Despite absorbing water, the jacket dried pretty quickly. Overall I like the jacket, and while it wasn't quite what I expected, it's still very effective.
