Great cover for the Kayak, very east to put the cover on it.One wish is if it had a central handle for carrying and moving around by myself.

I wanted something that I could zip my kayak into since it is being stored in an out building. I trust, shy of critters chewing through it, this bag will keep my kayak in good shape, with all its extras until spring.

Haven't had them for long, so I can't comment on durability. They just went through a good rainstorm last night and no water got in. There were droplets on top this morning, but no pooling inside. We have them stored upside down at an angle and partially covered. After reading other reviews, I expect the color to fade. I bought the camo (not my choice design), but it was cheaper than the rest. I'm not concerned with the appearance.

Just turns into a big bag of water with a kayak in it, and doesn't drain. Fascinating how water can get in but not out... I guess its good for keeping out bugs and critters.

The kayak cover does not prevent water to fill in during rain or snow season. I store my kayak outside and it onlu partially protect the equipment due to the water.coming inside and creatkng a recipient for water. Quite disappointed with the purchase. Would not recommend it to anyone at this point. Zipper is fragile and not waterproof as well.

I agree with others that it is NOT waterproof. I had the zipper facing down and it still got water in it. That said, I liked enough to order a second one for my other kayak. I figure some scotch gaurd will do the trick and they look nice, are thick, keep the sun off, and keep the critters out.UPDATE: I used it over the winter and it kept the critters out and protected it from the sun and dirt. Still had some water in it though. I never did get the scotch gaurd. The zipper needs some lube too. But it does protect the yak so I upgraded my rating from 3 stars to 4.

Purchased this cover to keep spiders out of my canoes during storage. I store my canoes suspended keel up under my deck, it rarely rains where I live plus the extra protection the deck provides i wasn’t overly concerned how waterproof it is. Finally rained for first time in 6 months and two days later this cover was still full of water. Funny, water got into the cover but wouldn’t let it drain. I think where the cover makes contact with the body of canoe it allows water to seep through, similar to when you touch the inside of a tent while it’s raining and it starts leaking. Zipper location at end makes it difficult to drain the water.Other than the water issue, the cover fits my Old Towne Next canoe nicely. Zipper is good. Material seems to be durable. Some fade from the sun.

Per the product specs - "Made with 600/300 Denier PU coated Marine Grade waterproof fabric, which is also tear resistant, U.V resistant. " It is not waterproof except for the water that pools inside the cover. I can't understand how the water gets in but doesn't drain out. A short rainstorm last night and I had to take the cover off to drain the water and hang up inside out to dry. And the zipper was under the kayak, so the water went thru the material. Also, the color that's exposed has changed from brown'green camo to a red rust camo after two days in the sun. Not what I expected for the $. I'll have to use a tarp over the cover. Next time, I'll just cocoon the kayaks in a tarp with bungee cords. Can not recommend for outside storage.

Update 09/18/24: I am increasing the stars on my review. It is only a couple months shy of 5 years and the cover is still holding up well. The color faded quickly, but more importantly the integrity of the cover is still good. I will buy the same cover, should I need a replacement. I have added a 3rd picture as well.Original review (nothing edited)I bought two of these covers. For the most part they seem good. The zipper is sturdy and material seems strong enough for now. Time will tell. I have two kayaks, one 16 feet and the other is 9 feet. Both fit well for length, however I wrapped parachute cord in a spiral from end to end to gather the bagginess/extra fabric to prevent flapping in the wind and unwanted additional wear. The biggest downfall is how quickly the color faded. They get about 2.5 hours of direct sunlight. The pics show how much fading has occurred only after one week. This is fine if it doesn't compromise the integrity of the fabric. I will have to wait longer and ipen/close them more to really tell how the quality holds up. I think they are good for the price if I can get 2 years in the Arizona desert climate.

Great cover and will last about 5 seasons if you remove it carefully. Not water proof in any way, so after rains you’ll want to drain it. I use them on wooden ocean kayaks to keep them out of the sun. Works good but they are cut really big if your kayak only has a 21 inch beam—-you will have a couple extra feet of material around the middle. You will have to bunch up that material to hang them on wall racks. Wish they made these with narrower sizes. I added the straps on the bottom one to make it look neater.
