Works and fits perfectly on my older/prior generation Generac GP6500 recoil-start generator (see picture). The rope is stout and easily strong enough to start endure starting a larger generator. The replacement part materials is the same as the OEM part.That said, a couple of alerts about the LISTING:(1) The product dimensions in the listing show the diameter from screw hole to screw hole (vs. outer edge to outer edge)(2) The color of the inside recoil mechanism plastics is BLACK, not ugly/dirty-looking yellow (which looks WAY better)
