This is a great product. I'm using an official SNES controller with it and it fits perfectly into the adapter. With my Wii and Wiimote turned on, I connect the adapter to my Wiimote first, then plug in my SNES controller and the Wii automatically detects the adapter and SNES controller and all the buttons work perfectly with no lag at all. I would absolutely buy this product again.

This works perfectly fine with my 8bitdo original snes console controller. I wanted to not buy a new controller and just keep using the SN30 one with the original snes controller dongle and this works flawlessly with it. Zero issues.

Sold my OG SNES a long time ago, but kept one of the controllers. It's had the yellowed gray color for around 20 years already. Missed using this bad boy, but I am now able to use it as intended on an SNES classic. Would buy another, if I had a reason to.

I ordered two of these for a friend. Yes, his SNES Classic is the official model, was fairly new and had the original power supply. The controllers it came with had problems... in Mario Kart, the left player (player 1) didn't register flipper (L&R) presses most or all of the time. In Starfox your ship was forced in a banked turn nearly all the time. With, or without the controller extension cables, there was a problem. I plugged the Hyperkin adapter (one of them only) into the right side and used an original (used) Super Famicom controller. It seemed to work. But once I got two original SNES control pads (tested on an retrobit Super Retro Trio, and they worked flawlessly for original SNES cartridge games), and suddenly there were problems. The controls were intermittent at best. "Up" and "Down" on the controllers were the main functions which stopped working. Other times other buttons would not register. A real let down! Instead of wasting your time with this shoddy product, I instead recommend Mayflash's "NES Classic" controller adapter for Wii/Wii U. Believe it or not, despite not being advertised for the SNES Classic, that product actually works, and does the job this Hyperkin product should have. Go with that instead if you want to use original SNES controllers on the SNES Classic (and it has other functions too for the price)!

I bought this adapter to use my Super Famicom/Super Nintendo controllers on my Wii and Wii U. I have to say, it works well, it's wonderful and odd to use my controller from the 90's wirelessly.It works great on SNES virtual console games, and with the Wii U allowing button mapping, it can be used on NES, Genesis, GBA, and TurboGrafx 16 games.It essentially becomes a Classic Controller minus the analogs and few extra buttons. Because of this, it can be used on some Wii and Wii U games that use the Classic Controller. I have tested it successfully on Super Mario Maker and the Super Mario All-Stars rerelease.It's quite fantastic to play Mario Maker using a Super Nintendo controller, it's what I grew up playing Mario games with, and 2D platformers.
