I installed this peacock on my motorcycle day one worked fine. Then I let the motorcycle sit. Decided to take it for a burn and now gas is leaking out of the petcock like there is nothing there! Don’t buy this if you want that to happen to you. I even had the gas shut off when it sat. It is too late to return it also. Complete garbage!

Bought a used 2015 Kawasaki KLR650 that had been sitting for about 9 months with fuel in the tank. The original fuel petcock was clogged with a bunch of junk and the filters were no good. I bought this one and had it delivered the next day. Its fits perfectly on the tank and even comes with a rubber gasket. Only issue here it that this replacement has a shorter pickup tube for the normal ‘on’ position, which means you’ll have less in reserve when you need it. It doesn’t bother me any since I mainly use my motorcycle for riding around and offroad use, but I can see how this would be an issue for someone who takes their motorcycle on trips.

$10 verses $95 is a real deal, however it does not have the automatic shut off feature.

Installed on 2001 KLR 650, attached 1/4” hose...when removing hose after test fit the brass hose barb pulled out of the zinc cast body... poor design, poor quality control. Rebuild your stock valve or buy Japanese- if it’s even possible. This is a fire hazard!

Put this on my 2000 KLR 650. Went on like it was made by Kawasaki. No leaks. It doesn't feel as substantial as the OEM petcock, but then again it doesn't have all of the vacuum controls like the OEM. Its just a simple on/off/reserve manual petcock. Time will tell if it is durable, but its working great.

the valve met my expectations. It fit just fine and works as expected. My goal was to eliminate the vacuum shut off.

Fits 2000 klr650 and no issues so far. A must have mod to replace the problematic oem valve
