I bought these to chase the threads of an ER20A spindle shaft and collet nuts that had experienced some thread damage. I have 4 ER20A nuts. The tap cleaned out the nut with the damaged threads, and chased the other three nuts with zero problems. The DIE on, the other hand, will not go more than about 1.5 threads onto the spindle shaft...which the nuts now smoothly thread onto, to full depth. Therefore, I can only conclude after about an hour of investigation, that THE DIE IS NOT TO SPECIFICATION.

We were tapping 6061 AL so we really cant say how this will hold up to anything ferrous- but both the tap & die cut cleanly with good threads
