I bought this for a very specific repair. I needed to chase the threads on a proximity sensor for a machine. I went with this listing because it had the tap and die which would let me chase the threads for both the male threads on the proximity sensor itself and the female threads inside the guarding of the machine where the sensor threads into. The threads on the proximity sensor were badly mangled as someone before me used vise grips to take it out with. After chasing both the threads on the sensor and in the machine, both sets of threads were serviceable again. I was able to reinstall the old sensoreven though the threads were damaged, however it was not working, and therefore replaced with a new one.All things considered the tool did the job well and seeing as the shop did not have it and I had to purchase it out of pocket the price was not exuberant.
