For cheap tooling, these are great. Easy to start, cuts nicely.When cutting external threads on the lathe, these tools make nice long chip indicating to me that they are sharp.The chamfer on the die starts well and stays true-but I do use a tailstock die holder.

I had to make specialty bolts for a tool a manufacturer will not supply replacements for. Good price, and in a timely manner. Most tool suppliers are as fast as a slug crawling up a wall.

The tap was oversize by 0.003", and die was undersized by 0.004". That combination is unusable considering the total engagement for #12-32 thread is only 0.009". I bought a couple Hansen taps (both were 0.216" right on the money) and a screw adjustable die from another vendor. This two are getting returned.
