You have to place the Peavey JSX Head in (Ultra) mode for the switch to operate. Also, this is not a regular midi connection so, regular midi cables will not work this cable has two extra pins to communicate with the Amp

Right out of the box did not work on my Peavy Triple XXX. The switches run thru the led diodes. The circuit board is a peavy board but the soldering points in here is weak. Plus the machining of the housing needs to be larger around the switch bores and the led bores because it pushes on the switches and LEDs, making them loose. Thus breaking the solder. If you get one wiggle the led before you even try it. If its loose that switch will not work. Disappointing for sure.

I got a used Peavey JSX combo that came with a 3 button Peavey footswitch, that did not work the amp properly. I bought this, plugged it up, and all is right with the world. :-) Made out of heavy steel, should hold up well to extensive gigging.

Works and looks exactly like my original pedal for much cheeper. Cable is a little short but it’s not that big of a deal in most situations.

When this was delivered at my door, the delivery guy just threw it down on the concrete floor and hit my steal door. The box was totally Destroyed, probably before it arrived here. And he just ran off , even when i yelled at him to come back. One of the switches was broken and not working. They are kinda cheaply made, not like the usual foot-switches. The case is metal with nice paint. The cable is really heavy duty IMO! I'd bet the cable and metal housing alone was most of the cost for this product. It should last me the rest of my life and then some. I did buy this knowing it would NOT work for my amp out of the box. I didnt really have a choice since I needed the FS and was unable to find a factory foot-switch new or used for many years. My amp is a late 80s Peavey Studio Chorus 70, which uses the same 7 din plug. I was hoping it would be an easy fix with just rewiring it from the circuit board, but that didnt pan out. So I just gutted the circuit board, which i think it a counterfeit, and wired it up as needed to match my din pins, and i was able to rig the broken switch until i can replace it.Works great now, just like the factory one would. I added some pics of the details of the smashed box and the guts of the pedal. It kinda sucks though, i bought it almost a month ago, and now its $10 cheaper =(

just what I needed for my Peavey Triple X, took a minute to figure out how to set it up but once I consulted my amps manual it worked perfectly. Comes with a nice long and decently sturdy feeling cable as well. There is some lag, but my research tells me that that is because of the amp so I can't fault this.

I was very skeptical about this purchase, I had never heard of this company and could not find a Peavey Footswitch for the Peavey Triple X amp head anywhere. I went out on a limb and purchased this, I even paid extra for the expedited shipping, I was eager to jam. This footswitch works exactly as it should. The only thing I don't know about is the Effects channel, I don't run anything through the Fx loop on the head, as for clean, crunch, and ultra they work perfect. Great product!!!
