POV used as a floating shelf over an electric fireplace. The shelf does require two people to install just because it is long and the wood is on the soft side, I didn’t want to dent it. It has a weight limit of 75lbs. That’s good for decorations. Would not be ideal as a floating shelf if you wanted to use for plates, books etc

This is a very nice shelf. I am happy to say that it was very easy to install and it looks stunning. I love the finish that is neutral and that it is big enough to hold some decorative tchotchkes without any issue. I thought it was very reasonably priced when you consider the long length of the shelf and that it has the hidden hardware to install it. Or use this in my foyer and was able to create a bit of a welcoming space where there really is no wall space to do anything with like a console table. I am over the moon with how professional this looks and cannot be happier.

A little expensive for what it is. But it is a beautiful mantle and very good quality, installation was easy.

This floating shelf is elegant and nice looking. I put this on top of my fireplace which has nothing on it. This makes it look nicer. It also gives me some room to put some decorations on top of it too. It feels like wood as well.

I wanted to hang a mantle (floating shelf) above my fireplace, but just didn’t know where to find a floating shelf that long. I ordered this shelf in hopes that it would work. My home is over 100 years old and has plaster walls, so hanging heavy items without damaging the walls is always a challenge! My husband and I measured the length and used a level to ensure the shelf was straight on the wall above our fireplace. Hanging it was not as difficult as I expected. It looks great! The color is exactly what I wanted too! We ended up purchasing two smaller shelf brackets to provide a sturdier base. They are not able to be seen, but just make me feel more confident in the stability of the shelf. Also, this way I can place items with a heavier weight than a picture frame on the shelf. In my opinion this is an excellent buy for anyone that wants the look of a fireplace mantelpiece without having one built. I love our living room’s new look!

So at the time if order this was 184. Is it worth it? Maybe. It is real wood? sort of. It's a thin veneer real wood non the less so that's not a lie but it's not solid wood . The metal bracket is okay and works but could be a heavier guage for the price. All the hardware is adequate overall for what it is. The wood finish is a light walnut I suppose you could stain it darker if you wanted without issue. There is no clear coating on it. It's a natural finish. The install is straight forward use a level and your golden. Once it's mounted, preferably to studs it's strong.Over all ots a fairly nice product the dimensions are correct and it was packed nicely. The only real gripe I have is price point. For the price I can make this from 100% real wood..if you have the tools and the know how just make it from all wood but if you don't than this is a solid buy for simplicity alone. I have a bias because I'm a finish carpenter by trade.I only deducted 2 stars because of my personal bias not because it's a bad product.
