My review for this product is in comparison to the OEM Tilta Power Supply Module for the Tilta Advanced Ring.Honestly, I love/prefer to buy OEM whenever I can, just much more seamless than aftermarket alternatives, less likely to have issues. I have a the Tilta Power Supply Module and it's served me just fine for however long I've had it, in addition to whatever I've thrown at it. When I saw this, I was somewhat skeptical, especially with no reviews and it being seemingly new to the market. However, a lot of my qualms were cured when I saw that the manufacturer (seller?) had a photo detailing all of the various hardware inside of this item, letting me know that it was not just some piece of garbage hobbled together to imitate the OEM variant, rather it was a well thought-out and seemingly better alternative to the original.I installed this very easily with the included hardware, in addition to that, it came within some nice packaging that included paperwork detailing what kind of power the device could supply. After I installed it to my advanced Tilta ring, I was able to use it and power various devices, very easily. Really love the inclusion of the USB-C PD, vice the USB-A which the Tilta came with. Now, here is where it goes downhill... Nothing theatrical like my devices getting fried fortunately, unfortunately however, one day it just stopped relaying power. I thought perhaps the contacts were no longer properly seated. Nope. Tried it on another area of the ring, different contacts, nope. Tried the Tilta version on those same contacts, and I had good success. Not sure what happened, other than the device seems to have just simply died. I bought it I believe within the past month, so pretty quick for an item this expensive (more than the OEM) to die out. I am thankful though, that none of my devices were damaged, so that gives this product an additional star. I really did like this product, and I do trust it considering the amount of transparency the manufacture/seller put into by showing the hardware which is powering is, in addition to all the cool details build into it.Hoping the seller can make this right, because I would like to use this again to improve my rig and workflow, I even had plans to buy a second one--quite honestly. Just want to know that this won't happen again, if I were to do so.
