For a low cost mic it works very well . I use it as a overhead mic for my drums and it picks up so well I bought another one

I do vocals on top of guitar and band recordings and this microphone is pretty darn good for the price definitely! Still Shure 58 is nice every time

I have had it for a few days over a month and it was working really well. sound quality was pretty well and it worked nicely for the price, but it started breaking down and will not work anymore it just static and extreme feedback. The mic itself doesn't even work anymore. I guess for the price you get what you pay for.

Bought it just under a year ago and just took it out of the box to use for the first time and the mic is very staticky it seems to have a problem with the on off switch if you touch it in anyway it statics i wish i would have tested it when i got it instead i am stuck with it because return window has closed check yours upon arrival.UPDATE: the seller contacted me and offered to replace it for me. They sent a replacement without hesitation and the new one works as it should. The first one definitely had a faulty on off switch. For the price this is a good solid microphone.

Let me begin by saying that I do not know much about sound quality. Having said that, I like this mic better than the mic I received with my Karaoke system. Good product for the price.

Good quality microphone and great value! I bought one because I will be bringing my Sony portable speaker MHC V21 to a friend’s house who will be having a karaoke party and need a microphone. I purchased this Hotec microphone with 19-ft cord to find out (3 weeks before the party) if it’s good enough. The sound turned out great and impressive, I am ordering another one so my friends can sing duet songs! I have tested it 3 different days now and I just take extra care when connecting and disconnecting the cord. I read the short instruction that came with the box, to make sure I don’t break the pins/connector. I’m thinking of just leaving the cord connected permanently, rather than disconnecting it after each use. I bought an extended warranty for $3.99, and the total price is still cheap for this good microphone! Overall a great buy!
