This was more of a pad to keep your saddle from slipping. It was not enough cushion for my senior horse. It came perfectly wrapped, but it gets dirty instantly and is not easy to clean due to the holes. It didn’t work for what I needed. The fit was good just wish it was thicker and had more shock absorption

This works well for my horse. I wish it came with a sleeve to protect it after it gets cleaned out. Easy to wipe off/hose to clean. I have a horse with swayback and this was a nice fit for him under the regular pad/blanket.

I'm using this on my daughter's horse who has a slight sway back. It's really helping the saddle from sliding back during riding, and seems to be holding up well so far. I've washed it several times. I love that even after riding, when her horse is sweaty everywhere else it's dry under the gel pad! Will buy again. Riding western.

I have a young Paso Fino that has an under developed top line. This pad is absolutely wonderful! No matter what I tried my saddle would bridge. This pad is worth its weight in gold! If you have a horse with a sway back this is the best pad you can buy! I put it directly on my horses back, then the saddle pad, then his saddle and it is a perfect setup! I am thrilled! I have spent a fortune on pads that were a waste of money. They would slip out or move and not stay where it was needed. This one stays where it is supposed to! This one works!

Umm... this thing is AMAZING. I put it under a western saddle that was hitting my TB in the shoulder and it lifted the saddle off her shoulders just the right amount. Because of the squishy gel material, the saddle bounced a bit more than usual in the back so I threw the back cinch on and tightened it up a bit more than she's used to... oops. She buuuuuuuuucked!! Thankfully I was not on her lol, that would have been funny. Anyway, she went buck wild for a bit and calmed down and was fine. But guess what? The saddle didn't shift off of the pad and because I had paired this riser with a Reinsman Tacky-too (two?) pad, the whole thing stayed right where I put it. I could not believe it didn't slide around or slip and I'm so lucky because by the time she was done flipping out, I cinched it up another two holes. DAMN!!! I highly recommend this pad.
