The hook is good and sturdy. I attached it to a 4 ft pool rod, it snapped right on.The edges are smooth, so, no scratches marks on the robot. The hook is open enough to grab with easily but not prone to slipping off. It makes getting the robot out of the pool much easier and safer for both the robot and my (81 year old) "cabana boy" hubby who has pool duty.

No more tugging on cord to get robot to edge of pool to remove. The hook makes it so easy. It attaches to pool pole . A really great tool for a great price.

This is a decent hook for the price. It is simple hard plastic with a plastic spring detent to lock into standard pool poles. Of course, only time will tell if it is durable.Unfortunately for me, I found the hook to be too large for my robotic pool vacuum. So just make sure that the handle of your robotic pool vacuum has the space for this hook to engage the handle.(My robotic vacuum parks up against the side of the pool when ready to be retrieved, so the hook must be lowered straight down and slip around the handle. The handle is just tall enough to slip my fingers underneath, so the only way this hook would be able to slip under the handle is if I could angle the hook about 60 degrees from vertical; which is not an option when the robot is directly underneath me)

I have often found myself wanting a hook for the pole for the pool to dig out the robot. It is heavy and hard to reach to fish out of the pool. This hook is just the right size, fits well in the pole, and fits perfect around the handle of the robot to pull it up from the bottom of the pool. It is a hook and works well to hook things :-) Not much else to say. I took off one start though because the hook itself does not feel like it is very high quality. It is 100% plastic and any rotational torque I imagine will snap it with ease. I am certainly not going to try it to find out though.
