I bought these for a 20" grandson's bike. He hasn't been riding that long and his parents thought I should get the trainers. So I did. They felt sturdy and well made when I unpackaged them. Putting them together was a snap. Then came adjusting them to the height of the wheel. My first attempt left too much play in the wheel. What I liked was that I was easily able to adjust the length of the support just that little more to get it just right. My fear was that such fine adjustment would not be possible, but the fears were unwarranted.

I was never able to actually install them on the bike, one of the wheels the arm or the part that hold the wheel was bent down, the mounting bracket was tweeked, I was unable to get the the hold matched up to the bike, I tried the bend or re-tweek the mounting bracket but was unable to. The other wheel was went on real quick and easy but the black plastic part was melted. I should have returned them to get my money back, but I got so frustrated I just threw them away.

The piece that engage the bicycle body did not fit correctly over the foot brake, so I simply shifted the left wheel forward and kept the left wheel back. Believe it or not this worked out perfectly for me. I like the extension they give you that goes over the wheel axle before installing the right wheel, really solid. I suppose I could have also installed the extenion on the left wheel to keep both training wheels in alignment too, but I didn't have to do that.

The one side fit great, but the extend bolt didn't come with the package so the other side won't fit. I had to choose the option of sending it back to get my money back, instead of offering to talk with seller to get the extend bolt. So now I have to pay $12 for extend bolts to be sent out. The wheels themselves seem pretty strong.

Yes I have a huge child who is 6, but used a 20 inch bike. Good luck finding one with training wheels, so we buy used and attached these. They have stayed on well and no issues with attaching them!

Install was fairly easy, but the arms werent at the same angle. I suspect I got a used/returned set. I bought 2 sets as I have twins learning how to ride bikes and 1 already cracked under pressure at a bend after only 2 bike rides.Update 10/14/20Cracked set fully gave out causing my son to fall over on the street. We had only gone on maybe 5 bike rides. Do not buy these.

This is so far the best wheels I get on the market, I buy this for my 10 yr old son who is learning to ride bikes, yes I don’t pretend to made him go thru for the sufferings I did back on the days to learn how to ride a bike. If is for a big boy like my, I just suggested to adapt a bigger wheels which you can find it here at Amazon.
