This is a good quality helmet bag. The carbonator is heavy duty and the overall material is good. There is a section of the bag that is mesh as well. In theory, this provides some airflow and should help with odors after a game. My only concern with this bag is the material inside is not all soft, makes me wonder if it will scratch a visor or hybrid shield. Other than that, this provides more than adequate protection. Unless you’re throwing your helmet around in the bag, I think this would be more then enough protection for the average player.

I had been using an old motorcycle helmet bag for my hockey helmet and it worked fine, but just wasn't ideal. The straps were way too long and would get in the way or get caught on stuff, it wasn't very heavy duty and didn't really protect against anything. The only thing going for it was it had a soft interior so I didn't have to worry about the fabric itself scratching my visor. This bag is pretty cool, it's heaver material with vented mesh on the sides and a nice soft fabric that will work great for wiping down a visor. Only thing I'm unsure of is how well the interior fabric that's NOT the soft part will do at not scratching up the visor if for some reason the soft cloth gets pushed away and is no longer protecting the visor. The carabiner clip is actually pretty good. I was expecting one of those super cheap hollow fake metal ones but this one has some heft to it and opens/closes nice and smooth.
