putting this on the holes of the hobie for battery power and a fish finder was a challenge. none of the inserts fit the wires. hobie needs more insert options.

So what you see in the photo when purchasing is TWO trees with the grommets for wires to pass through OR block off.WELL plan on spending another 25.00 or more for another tree if the ONE tree they send you doesn’t have a duplicate grommet of what you’re needing. VERY misleading as to what you will receive for 32.00.Not saying it isn’t a product of choice for passing the larger Lowrance plugs through your hull, just plan on being 50.00 deep having to purchase ANOTHER tree for a grommet that should have already been included!

This is a great product to use in the installation of a fish finder in a kayak. You simply drill a hole (1 15/16 I believe) just like the instructions say,run your power and transducer cable to where you want them and then install the plug kit to waterproof the hole. I put a little silicone around mine to ensure it would be waterproof but I don’t think it was needed. The kit comes with plenty of options for your cables. I used one with two holes in the same on but I intend to go back and use one of the two remaining openings for a usb charger.
