I have used these glow plugs before and they last as long as others. I did have one that is a dud. It never did glow, but it was my first.

Installed new plug. Engine turned over and lost the plug. Replaced tan one tank and the plug gave out. Used the last plug and engine turned over and lost another. Lost two of the three plugs without the engine even running.
